I really like Emilio, but other than that, I don't have any favorites yet. I, too, do a lot of fast forwarding! I did really like the Rag Doll routine.
I really hate how they've cut out valuable parts of the show (ie - shortening Vegas to one episode, not doing solos every episode). Those were the best ways to get to know the dancers. It's top 10 already and I only know 2-3 people's names and I barely know which style they dance in regularly.
SYTYCD is the only reason I have Hulu plus right now. It's my "me time". I have to say, I'm jumping on the Ricky Ubeda bandwagon, that boy can dance. As far as girls, I'm leaning more towards Tanisha (originally ballroom?) and Jessica (contemporary). It's definitely not like last season though. I felt more of a connection and emotion, for lack of better word, with the dancers then. This season just feels rushed.
So I'm watching this season too, but I only started watching the show last year so now I'm going back & watching old seasons at the same time. I'm in season 2 right now & was shocked that Travis Wall was a contestant! I didn't know that was how he started, I totally freaked out! Haha. I seriously love his choreography. And nobody spoil it for me on if he won or not, I'm purposefully not looking it up so I don't spoil it. Haha.

I agree, I could even stand less of the try-outs, but more of Vegas week. So much happens in Vegas, and cutting it down to one episode doesn't give you a chance to pick favorites.
I feel the same about not really connecting with any of the dancers in particular. They're all amazing, and the routines are beautiful, but I don't really care who stays or goes at this point.
