Just a reminder that if you choose to use a picture of you, your family, or anything else and if you have ever posted it anywhere on the web (i.e. Facebook or instagram) your pic can be reverse searched and people can find you. This may be people on this board curious to see if you are a real person or people IRL curious to see if you are posting anywhere else (and finding you here).

Also, if your SN includes any part of your real name, you may want to get creative and find a new SN.

I think someone said you can now do it on your own by going through the Knot account site, otherwise, you need to send a message to the Bump gods saying you need it changed for privacy reasons.

There are way to many women I know are currently expecting or TTC. I wouldn't want them to find me on here, since I've kept my MMC a secret from everyone (except for my closest friends and family)

I just changed my username from my first name to my first initial only. The one bummer is doing this erases my comment count and disassociates me from my past threads.

Hmmm . . . does it? I just played with mine to see what it does and I would be really side to lose my 8000 plus comments and almost 500 discussions started count. Not to mention all of those badges . . .

Just and FYI - apparently if you mess with your username it does something to your avatar. My avatar shows correctly in both my Bump and Knot profile as my regular ol' avatar but for some reason I have the generic pg ones showing on my posts.

I don't know how to change my picture....unless I change it on facebook, somehow they are linked. Is there a way to just change it on here?

My account is all messed up. It keeps flipping between my two names, and I see myself as a generic Bump avatar even though I have it set to the one I have been using for a long time. Grrrrr :ar!

Oh balls! I must not be very tech savvy because I tried to see where my pics lead to.......and they don't go anywhere........ But I'm scared now.... Does it make a difference that I don't have a Facebook?

Probably

I think the biggest thing is whether the pics you have on here have ever been posted anywhere else. If they have not, then they should only come back to the Bump.

I've tried to change my user name and photo so many times! It's enfuriating bc it won't change.

@theresabach I tried to change mine the other day through the link above and it was messing up my account. I would recommend going through the bump gods instead (moderator). You can change your picture pretty easily by going up to the person icon at the top right of your screen, clicking on preferences, and there should be an option for changing your avatar.
