There's no links in your original post for me. Do you travel? For travel I like having a backpack there the whole thing zips in half so when it's time to go through security you can just lay it down and the laptop is separate. You don't have to take it out of the bag that way.

I like the ebag, does it have side pockets though? I carry a water bottle with me everywhere so my bag has them.

I would not recommend the first one. It looks like it doesn't have a zippered closure, just a fold over. If you get caught in a downpour or the bag gets turned upside down for some reason that's not going to cut it.
