Follow up from yesterday...more pelvic cramping

So, I've had digestive cramping for four days. It's better today but this afternoon I started having what felt like menstrual cramps. Happened about 4 times in 45 minutes before I called. They asked me to monitor and call in an hour. Only one more cramping episode in that time and some BH. They said to monitor and call in if more than four in an hour. No more, but crazy BH that feel like they're pulling at my cervix. I'm worried but don't want to be paranoid...any thoughts.?

I'm a little confused... you said no more, but then talked about BH. Are you sure they didn't mean if you have 4 BH in an hour you should come in?

If you've been stressing about this for multiple days, and the BH keep happening, I would go get checked. I know it's easy to feel like you're overreacting, but it really doesn't take long for them to check on the baby and check your cervix. And hopefully it's nothing, and you'll go home feeling a lot better about it.

No more painful ones. I had a cluster of painful cramps/contractions, then just strong BH since then. I don't think they mean 4 BH in an hour...I'm pretty sure they meant the painful ones.

After all your stomach issues, are you sure you're not dehydrated? That can def bring on the BH!

Not totally sure about dehydration but I have only had a single bm today and have been pushing water. I'm probably being totally paranoid but I called the dr. because I also feel like she's moved down. She was really high up by my ribs and now there's tons of space by my ribs but the BH have slowed. I know I'm going to feel like an idiot if I go in and they catch no contractions, but I'm telling myself it's better to be safe than sorry and the dr. didn't hesitate telling me I need to come in. Keep us in your thoughts, please!

Well, I did go to L&D and there were lots of contractions on the monitor, but they weren't spaced in any regular way. The Dr. came in after an hour and said I wasn't doing much and he was going to assume possible UTI and send me home with antibiotics. He did an exam - no cervical change. Also did a bunch of swabs and said he was going to let me go home and while he was trying to call in my Rx, I started contracting very regularly. The funny thing is I couldn't feel them. So they wanted to kep me to give me IV fluids and IV antibiotics. Everythign slowed down and my white blood count wasn't elevated, so I think it really was just dehydration - someone called it above. I was drinking plenty, but I guess it wasn't enough! Finally got to go home after 4 hours - oh, and the preterm labor swab was negative. It was nice, at least, to get to see where we have to go when we have the baby because we had the other two in a different hospital. Thanks for any good thoughts sent our way!!
