I'm usually on the TTTC board but I thought I'd get more help from this board. DH had mild MFI in late May and my RE recommended IUI w/ Clomid. Well I went in for my first IUI this morning and his numbers were awful. They said 1.7 million, way worse than back in May. I also went in for an u/s on Friday, was supposed to trigger but my follicle wasn't big enough (it was 14.5, they trigger at 20). I did get a positive on the OPK on Sat. afternoon. I didn't have my IUI until 8:45 this morning. My first question is has anybody had any luck with IUI with such horrible numbers? Also, I feel that Monday was too late as Sunday would have been the better day. I'm fairly new to all this as I just started seeing an RE in late April. I'm in the TWW officially but with his numbers I don't have much hope, as now he is going to see a urologist. I've been MIA from this board for a while but I'm just hoping someone can give me some advice, or at least an encouraging success story?

Re: MFI and IUI Question?
I would agree that Sunday would have been the better timing for the IUI but your egg can be viable for 24 hours and a positive OPK doesn't necessarily mean you'll ovulate the next day, it could have happened on Monday. As for the crappy numbers, I don't have experience with numbers that low. My husband has had, at times, borderline count and motility, but it varied a lot each time it was tested.
For right now, just remember that it only takes ONE good sperm so even though in terms of fertility, 1.7 million is considered low, it is still a lot of sperm.

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

I would find a clinic that works every day of the week. In the fertility business I consider that a must.
