For the third time in two days I will say that we cannot see your baby's genitals from a side view like this.

Consider introducing yourself before we start looking at your baby's junk. Although, I know who you are considering your name is on the photo. Good to meet you Kayleigh Smith. And why is the photo from March?

Hahahahaha....If I see another one of these posts I am going to scream. For the love of god we can't tell. If your doctor can't why would we be able to. And I agree either this is from march or you are in europe and the US is actually from 8/3/14. Please no more gender requests I beg of you.

@MummyKay‌ you should really take your ultrasound down though with your real name on it. Edit the picture and if you reallu feel strongly abput reposting It then repost it.

Well thanks these comments have just totally confirmed why i haven't really bothered with this forum and shown I haven't missed out on anything. The scan picture is from Sunday, I'm in the UK. Sorry that an excited first time mum and trying to guess early is such a bore to you all. On other forums I'm part of it's all part of the fun. Glad I didn't ask for help and support here when I was bleeding you all probably would have laughed at me.

@mummykay like i said I thought you may be in europe as the dates are different. The real issue is in the last we there have been like 3 post a day like this. In all the posts we've all said the same thing. There is no way to tel the gender of the baby from a profile pic, no matter how many weeks. If you google gender US pics, the way they tell is when they take a but pic and can see between the legs. This was not meant as mean its just that people are frustrated at repeating themselves. When I start a post I always go back about 3-4 pages to make sure there's not a similar one. I think at this point its not fun trying to guess its getting a bit redundant and annoying. Lets try doing this in about 6 weeks when most of us are around our AS time and try guessing. That to me would be more fun. Congrats on a great pic though looks like you got a healthy baby in there.

If you had lurked at all, you would have seen the reactions to the 3 other posts with this exact view of the baby. Please hang around, read other posts, and be a part of the community. We would have been supportive when you were bleeding. We are a great group, but to just stop in with a picture randomly doesn't go over well. If you can't tell what you are having, how coud we?

@mummykay my reaction has nothing to do with you personally, and everything to do with the fact that we have had like 5 of these in the last 2 days, and you literally can't tell anything from this angle.

If you would have posted a between the legs shot, I'm sure the reaction from us would have been much different!

Stick around, and I am positive that if you ever need support, you will get it.

We understand excitement of being a FTM... Im one myself. But you should be aware of the culture of the board, especially as a lurker. You should also know we would never laugh at someone having a medical emergency, in fact thats when the entire board puts all snark and jokes aside and is most supportive.

Dont go running away upset, because we didnt want to play "guess the sex", its nothing personal... We dont want to play that game with anybody (especially with the wrong body shot). But I encourage you to stick around and join in on other posts and you will see this board and TB isnt as bad as you may have once thought.

Can we create a Guess the Gender thread that stays at the top of the board like those other ones like please read first? That way people that want to post and make their own guesses keep them all on the same thread? I don't know. Just an idea. I don't know how to do any of that stuff. I just use mobile and not a sophicated bump user.

I don't know if it would do any good. I thought it sounded good at first but a lot of the people that post them now are just needing their AW moment. Kinda like the symptoms post we were still getting 3 or four is this a normal symptom type post a day. Then they got mad because they were directed to the symptoms thread, and we were mean and not helpful.

I couldn't agree more. you know you're gonna get someone who post's there own because there pic is special or its different. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!!!! Why can't people see that. Ugh.

If the scan was done during the 13th week, a medical professional can make an educated guess on sex from the side shot based on angle if a nub is visible, which it looks like there is a nub shot in this pic. That being said, I know we don't want a flood of guess requests.

Op - did your tech make a guess? Our tech did and gave us 70% accuracy. We aren't putting much stock in it though. If you're looking for random guesses, there are forums for that specifically (like in-gender.com) that are just for fun.
