We were invited to a birthday party of 2 brothers ages 3 & 1 in Alessandra's play group. Im at a total loss at what to get them. The theme of the party is super heros and I'm sure they'll be getting a lot of super hero stuff from their parents. I asked the mom if there was anything they needed or any interests but she just told us to show up in our super hero attire and not to worry. 

Is there anything your LO's got for their first birthday that you would definitely recommend getting for someone else?
Any ideas for a 3 year old?

I just keep looking at toys r us over and over and nothing is catching my eye. TIA!

    J absolutely loves the book "Superhero Me" by Karen Katz. I've got the thing memorized... anyway, you could do that for either age.

    Im a big fan of books as gifts. A friend gave them a basket of all the Eric Carle books for their birthday. It was my favorite gift they got.

    DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)
    5 hysteroscopies/2 surgical
    3 Inject IUIs = 2 m/c's and 1 BFN
    IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
    IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!

    If you're thinking books, I freaking love the Sandra Boyton books for the LO.

    We also have a Learning Express that  I like a lot for toys.  A little pricier, but not any worse than Toys R Us.  Someone got DD some bath toys from there and they were pretty awesome too.
