Problems with our swing.. Anyone else?

We got the Fisher Price My Little Snugapuppy swing for DD @ my shower. 1st time we tried to put it together it was missing a part. 2nd time a part was broken in the box. 3rd time was the charm and seemingly everything was ok. However, now I am noticing that I am putting DD in the swing on the highest setting and after only a couple mins it slows waaaaaaaayyyy down. I called BRU and they are willing to exchange for a 4th swing. I told them I'd like to pick out a different item entirely since we keep having problems with this model. Can anyone recommend a better swing? 

Also, do you think this has anything to do with my child's weight? She is 13lbs. I understand the swing will move slower with her in it, I just don't think it should get down to a snails pace!

    Fisher Price swings are notorious for motor issues. We are on our third (two kids). Unfortunately, we don't like any other brand swings as much.

    I have a Graco, same issue we are on our second one (BRU exchange) because of moter slow down. What seemed to help this time is, we start it manually swinging with a little push, then turn it on. This way the swing motor doesn't need to work as hard in the beginning.

    I also have a Graco, and I too give it a little push help it along. I have no complaints about it. I like it. And I like that you can take it off the base and use it as a rocker

    Another Graco fan. We haven't had any issues. And it gets a lot of use!

    We have the snugapuppy as well and our daughter is 14 lbs with no issues, so weight probably isn't a factor.

    Giving it a little push first is a good idea, those motors are tiny and that would help extend it's life a bit.

    I would look into another brand, nobody's got time to be returning swing after swing!

    We haven't had any problems with our Snugabunny, but we probably only use it every 2-3 days. Mine has started to slow down recently, but I think it's the battery since we have yet to plug it in. Hopefully you can get one without problems.

    I actually called them about our swing today--- they are sending us a new one.

    Next baby is getting a mamaroo.

    I have a snugabunny. We use it everyday with zero issues. We give a push start to the motor as PPs have mentioned.

    Ya, I'm really wishing I'd have spent the extra $100.

    With the motor crapping out of very minimal use(maybe an hour/every two days) and the amount of batteries we've gone through--- it's ridiculous. Maybe I'll return the new one and just get it.

    We give it a push go start as well and it's not helping one bit. I'm so frustrated.

    Haha I think I have you all beat. My snuggapuppy will be set to only swing and just as LO falls asleep, the music will turn itself on waking him up. Has anyone had that happen? I don't have the box to return it - DH tossed it out. Do I need the box?

    We give it a push go start as well and it's not helping one bit. I'm so frustrated. And @Dplusbsquared‌ I called BRU and they are going to return without the box because it was on our registry.

    You can return without bix if it is on your registry
