Hello!
My husband and I (married NYE 2013) are TTGP after Implanon BC for 5 years and Yaz prior to that. I've basically been on some form of BC for 11 years. I'm excited to have a normal cycle again without BC. I had Implanon removed July 24th, 2014 - got my AF the next day (25th) and now we're just looking forward to the process. I do have PCOS (and a few other minor issues in the past) so my OBGYN is letting me try for 6 months on my own before we start looking at further testing for possible fertility issues. She feels positive I should be able to conceive with no problems, though. I have one of the most baby-fearing husbands in the world but, surprisingly, he seems to be handling this new chapter rather well. Sure, he's terrified (as am I) but it was a mutual decision to have BC removed a year early. It is our current thought to only have the one baby but I know that can change later. I need to start PNVs -- any recommendations? Will begin tracking my ovulation after my next AF in case this last one was just a hormone fluke due to having BC removed.
Congrats to all new/current Mommies and sending lots of LUCK to those TTC!
EDITED: Removed ridiculous dust-related phrase.

Re: Newbie here! Just started TTC..
Welcome to the exciting journey that is TTC! Word to the wise-they don't like the term baby dust on this board
I like the Vitafusion gummy prenatals and use Fertility Friend to track my basal body temp for tracking ovulation.

I've heard Vitafusion PNV are easier on the stomach than most others. Is Fertility Friend on this page or is it an app?
Thanks again for your reply.
It's hard to keep track of what terms are OK on which board, lol. I think the Vitafusion are easier on my stomach, at least compared to some of the RX PNVs I've taken in the past.
FertilityFriend.com is a great resource for learning about your cycle, and tracking ovulation through BBT and other fertility signs. They also have an app for your phone if it's easier for you to go that way. They have a free version, and an expanded pay version. I find the free version to be just fine.
I would highly recommend going through their tutorials and exploring their page. It's crazy how much we don't really understand our cycles with the limited info we learned in HS biology! Taking Charge of your Fertility is a good book to read as well.

Now I'm off to check out that site. It's bizarre how much planning/timing/testing goes into TTGP. Parents and teachers made it seem so easy when in HS.
