Halloween?

I can't seem to remember if this has been discussed.... I'm having trouble deciding what my 1 year old should be for Halloween. Plus what if I go into labor early? I'd love to have a cute onesie ready for the newborn... I have however decided that I want to buy this t-shirt for me...Anyone else planning for Halloween?

I'm trying to -I start in August most years. Ever since DS was born I force my family to do a family Halloween costume (even make my dog dress up). Last year DH and I were Thing 1 and 2, DS was Cat in the Hat, and the dog (I have a small pom) was the fish in the bowl. I really love doing it but we are due beginning of November so it can be hit or miss - LO may be here or not, for all I know I might be in the hospital.

I was thinking of forcing my clan to do Austin Powers so I can be Fat Bastard if I'm still pregnant. DH is dreading this already - LOL. I might just do a pass this year for DH and the dog (who I think hates me just because of Halloween), let DS pick his own costume and buy a fun shirt for myself - e-bay has some cute skeleton shirts with a baby skeleton in the tummy - cheap enough that even if LO is here, it's no biggie.

Well, seeing as my due date is Halloween... hopefully I will be in the hospital that day! But, I did consider buying a cute onesie from BRU in case LO comes early.

I will probably buy a cute onsie for LO, just on case. My 19 month old is going to be Tinkerbell. I haven't thought about if I will do something with the bump if I am still pregnant, but there have to be some good ideas on Pinterest.

I'm due the day after Halloween, my daughter came 11 days early so I am going to buy a Halloween themed warm sleeper just in case.my daughter wants to be a candy corn witch, so I will buy myself a witch hat cute top and leggings with tutu and a broom to match

so pregnant, in labor, our with newborn we will be ready!

I would welcome a Halloween baby, so I haven't bought anything NB as not to jinx the possibility. I'll probably buy her costume for next year once they go on clearance...
I have no idea what I'll be this year. Perhaps a sumo wrestler.
My niece will be just shy of 1yo, and might be a monkey or a garden gnome. Or something completely different.

I am not due til the 17th of November, so as much as I would like to no longer be pregnant by halloween, I don't expect that to happen.

I was thinking about getting a nun costume and being a pregnant nun. I know they make the costumes with the fake bump....lol, but mine would be real.

Or the inflatable sumo wrestler costume.....I always wanted to get that costume. That might be the only one that fits me by then!

I'm not due till towards the end of November, which is a bummer because tiny baby Halloween costumes are the best. Not sure what my 2 year old will be, I'll go walk around a Halloween store to get some inspiration before I decide.

Too bad this baby will be almost a year old his first Halloween and I won't get to do something like this again...

Hmm...well, if the babies arrive on Halloween, that would put them right at 36 weeks and my guess is they'd be dressed up as NICU babies (hopefully not, though).

Someone actually asked me what I was going as for Halloween this year (I always try to do an interesting Halloween costume). Uhm....this year? I'm going as an enormous pregnant lady and I am going to hoard ALL THE CANDIES. That's my plan.

@mander82 - That's what my friend went as last year. She was about 5 months pregnant at the time.

This thread is giving me serious anxiety! Carters has it's Halloween shop up too which isn't helping. This year, N will be tinkerbell. I want to go trick or treating super bad with her but if this baby comes early, I won't be able too. My DH will take her though. I'm not getting this new baby a Halloween costume. Maybe a sleeper or something because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and she will wear whatever I get her after halloween until she grows out of it anyway.

I love halloween and when I was about 8 weeks I ordered it. I was going to wear it to tell my close friends but it didn't come in time. I've worn it once when I was still first tri because my DH wanted me too lol. I told him next time I wear it I def need a bigger belly cuz baby skeleton was hanging really low haha.

NLJ82 totally LUV your Mad Hatter. The shirt I have is a little different. No baby bottle but the baby has a little heart.

I totally LOVE halloween too. My wedding actually was halloween themed..but I stopped at making people dress up.

^^This! Except I have been too nervous to by anything Halloween related for the baby because I am worried I will jinx it! I would really like him not to be late! (Though I know that is a possibility.)

I was planning on getting a cute shirt as I'm planning on making October 31 my last day at work, but I realized that LO could arrive at any time and might be here before then. I looked at the ones on Cafe Press, but they're pretty expensive. I'll try e-bay though and if I can get one for less than $20 I might pull the trigger.

I can't decide what do about Halloween this year! It's one of our fav times of the year, and I highly doubt I'll be in the mood to dress up. DH surprised me with this little gem the other day for when we go out for our fall festivities

It will be REALLY hard to top last year's costume for my daughter. (She was a WICKED Marie Antoinette.) I will try to dig up a picture....

She is considering Cleopatra for this year... She wants my husband to be Danny Zuko. lol.

I will not be dressing up. And my baby will not be either. She isn't due till Nove 30 - so I am thinking Oct 31 is way too early for her to be born. (Not like we have a choice in these matters, of course....

I want to do this for Halloween for me, but I'm due the 2nd so I'm not sure if I'll be a) up to trick or treating or b) not in labor. I did find a super cute NB Halloween onesie and, against my common sense, I bought it. It was only $1 at a thrift store and she can always just wear it at home.

The kids haven't quite decided yet. The girls change their minds every time I ask. They tend to pick things that you can't just buy. I'm trying to convince DS to be He-Man again, just because the costume is all ready to go.

This is such a great costume! Put the triangles behind you and when asked a question, shake your belly and pull out the Magic Eight Ball answer!

If baby comes before Halloween, I think it will be a scheduled thing so I'm hoping I'd have time to run out and get a onesie/sleeper! Probably won't do a full fledged costume though!

LOVE the 8 ball!!! I may have to find that shirt and wear it to work!

I don't plan on dressing up in a costume though, but maybe a cute shirt like the one mentioned above!

I really want to do something for Halloween, but being due November 1st makes it so possible I could have her like a week before or even the day of Halloween. But if she comes a couple weeks early and I'm feeling up to it I will definitely get something for her

icjust don't think I'm gonna be in the mood for anything if she comes a few days early lol. I'd rather save my money and decide when it happens

Since little man is measuring 32 weeks already. I know he is going to come early cause that is what dd did as well. Might not be up to doing much depends on when my dr schedules the c section! DD bday is the 24th of October so hopefully I will have about a day in between days for both of them lol

DD was given a super cute pajama that had a glow in the dark skeleton on it. She was born in Jan and wore the PJ from March - June-ish. After several wears, I realized it was probably a Halloween costume. But everyone thought it was super cute and nobody said anything (to our face at least) about it being weird.

So yeah, anything we might have for baby #2 will definitely be used no matter what.

I love all of these tops! I have a black top with a skeleton baby on it that I might wear! I have not thought of buying anything for the baby. He could easily be due Halloween.
