My camping rant: it's now midnight and everyone else has been asleep for two hours. But not me! Instead of sleeping I've made four, yes four, trips to the bathroom!!!

I wish I could just sleep. I hate walking to the bathroom in the pitch black ( yes I have a flashlight). It's soooooo creepy.

Why does my bladder have to be so weak when pregnant!!

    I went camping with my son and I hated getting up in the night! I would make my dog go with me and he wasn't happy either. Lol
    My MIL she would have a pee pot in her tent. I personally not for this but it's a option

    I take my boat bucket when camping so i dont have to walk to the bathroom when i have to pee. Its essentially a 5 gallon bucket with a toilet seat and a lid. I stick it right behind my tent where there is no way it could be seen by anyone else.

    ETA: im pretty sure dh bought it at cabella's. We use it on the boat in the summer

    I'm going camping in the boundary waters tomorrow (northern Minnesota) and I'm worried about this! I'm not usually one to worry about bears, but used to never have to pee in the night either.  Not sure yet what I'm going to do, probably just go pretty near the tents :(

    I'm dying to go camping, but we live in SC so DH refuses to go right now.  We will definitely be going in the fall when it cools off a bit.  I think I may have to get this boat bucket you speak of @HerHighness!  We usually do the primative sites, so we're not very close to the bathroom anyway.  I could definitely find a nice private place to stick that bucket!

    Its really worth it. Its not called a boat bucket, i just call it that since dh bought it for me to take on the boat. Its similiar to this

    I ordinarily love camping, but not so much right now. My DB wants to go camping this weekend & I am absolutely dreading it & the hundreds on bathroom trips in going to have to make.
