Will you use a diaper bag? Yes, especially with two under two!

If so, which one are you eying/have you purchased? I already have mine and I love it! It's a Timi & Leslie Charlie bag - it's enormous.

STM+ - do you have an old favorite or will you purchase a new one? I started with a vera bradley diaper bag that was gifted when DD was born and it was very useful but not my style. I purchased the Timi & Leslie this winter and fell in love, it's HUGE so I know it will be great for a toddler and newborn. For now, before LO is born, I've just been using an LL Bean tote for DD as she doesn't need much since we haven't hit the potty training stage yet.

I got a little crazy and bought a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag not long after finding out. Practicality got the best of me and I returned it when I realized I'd rather spend that money on a purse. Ha! So I got the skip hop bag on sale at the Nordstrom Aniversary sale. Only $40 and cute! Though I've seen several people with the same bag.

If so, which one are you eying/have you purchased? If not, what will be your substitute? I kind of like the Jeep backpack-style diaper bag. I prefer nondescript backpack diaper bags. H is planning on being a SAHD, so I'm trying to pick a bag that he will like.

FTM - will you register for a bag or purchase your own? I had registered for a bag, but I switched my registries around to make them more convenient for shower guests, and the one I want isn't available in stores where I registered, so I will probably buy my own.

I have a Ju-Ju-Be BFF that I've been using for 2 years, so I'll continue using that. Love it! Plenty of room (especially since we cloth diaper) and it has held up really well.

I purchased it myself 2nd-hand, but I don't think the previous owner had used it at all or used it very little. It was like-new when I got it.

I am in love with the diaper bag I put on my amazon registry. It's crazy expensive, so I don't actually expect to get it, but hoping DH will let me buy it. It's the Ju-Ju-Be Be Prepared Messenger bag. It looks like a Kate Spade bag to me.

I did, however, put a more economical option on my BRU registry.

If people buy me one of them, then great. If not, we'll buy one ourselves.

FTM - will you register for a bag or purchase your own? Yes I did register but I doubt anyone will buy it because it's pretty expensive for a shower gift. I registered for it in black which is kind of boring, but I figure H will be more comfortable using a basic black messenger bag when he has the baby. I'm planning on buying it myself with the completion discount.

Yes! They are great especially right away. It's so nice to have everything organized and on hand when they are pooping and peeing every two seconds ha!

Seriously so wonderful to have a full on changing station with you and it is SO cute! It makes it so easy to get LO changed and it's great when you are in public restrooms because you don't have to lay them on directly on the ishy public one haha.

I have a 17 month old and now that he is a bit bigger we really don't have the need to bring a full on diaper bag with us all of the time!

So I will be using the Bushka we got for him!
I figure an outfit for each and diapers for each in the bag plus whatever else I need for DS2 and I will be good to go!

DH likes that backpack style and I figured that if we get one that he likes I won't be the one stuck carrying it around on family outings.

We also registered for a diaper clutch based on a recommendation from a family member. When out to dinner or something, it is nice to grab the clutch from the diaper bag and grab the kid and go to the bathroom, and have everything needed to change the baby and leaving the bulkier diaper bag behind.

We have been discussing if we want 2 diaper bags: 1 for daycare and 1 for family outings. I think we do. Any suggestions from STMs?

We registered for the same! DH will be primary care giver after maternity leave, so we wanted something gender neutral. I also really wanted a backpack bc I have very small shoulders that give me trouble with shoulder bags in general.

Last year as a gift to myself I splurged and got this MZ Wallace bag and it is the PERFECT diaper bag! I LOVE IT! I am thinking of maybe getting the same one in cobalt blue (maybe).
We registered for this fisher price diaper back pack for DH and he loves it! So we are pretty much set.

I fell in love with the Skip Hop French Stripe Duo bag before we even confirmed pregnancy. I held off buying it because I knew they were making improvements to it. It was out of stock forever and finally came back last month so I snatched it up!

I did register for the matching clutch bag.

DH has no issues carrying it, but I am contemplating getting him a Sons of Trade bag he really likes. It would be funny because it's over double the price of mine!

My parents bought me a Coach Diaper bag. Me and my mom have a love for all things Coach I had always joked I would have a Coach Diaper bag but never thought I would ACTUALLY get one. It's black (my DH is very thankful for that) it has tons of space for everything.

Will you use a diaper bag? I'm assuming we will. FTM, but it seems logical.

If so, which one are you eying/have you purchased? I am NOT a purse/bag person. Seriously. I will keep the same purse until it breaks (and I'll spend MAYBE $30 max on a purse), so I see diaper bags for functionality, not oooo preeeeety. So we registered for this one and this one at Target because they were there and convenient.

FTM - will you register for a bag or purchase your own? We registered for two. If nothing gets purchased we'll just buy one, probably. If I had wanted something fancy or designer I would've purchased that myself.

@JamieK1882 I did register for it on amazon, they do a standard 10% completion discount, but if you have amazon mom when you use the code it's 15% off! BRU is our primary registry but I have some fun and more pricey stuff on amazon to get the 15% discount later.

I had a vera diaper bag with first DD (and still have it) so I'll probably just use that. If I do get a new one it would just be a new print lol. The bag was super sturdy & big enough to haul all of my stuff.

We decided that it was better to just have one bag than each of us so we were looking for something not to "girly" lol. We went with the Columbia Summit Rush Backpack Diaper Bag. We both liked that our hands would be free and it has straps to hook onto the stroller

I am still trying to decide. I originally thought JujuBe but the material is really stiff (fine for a diaper bag but I don't think I would use it later). Now I'm thinking about a storksak either the olivia or the tania bee depending on how much space I might need. STMs-I would love some guidance on this. DH said he would carry it if need be as long as I kept it somewhat neutral.

I have a Coach bag that I bought for myself at an outlet when it was on clearance. I'm looking forward to using it, but imagine that I'm going to be a pack mule between my large Coach bag (which I love) and this diaper bag. DH will probably prefer to carry baby than either bag.

Will I have a diaper bag? - I don't think so. I'm torn. I have few I like... But is expensive. It's not necessary right now cuz I have a couple of large purses that can stand in. But that means FI doesn't have a bag to use if he's with LO. He can use his laptop bag. It would work.

I had a skip hop bag. I kind of liked it but not so much. It was too narrow but it forced me to be minimalist and use what I have. I think I will continue this but with what I have or buy a new one.

The ones I do want is a skip hop chevron bag or a bag from Rebekah Scott. She is a local bag designer and makes bags herself. Her bags are so cute!!! But is pricey!!! The bag I want is $200+. I do not know if I can justify the cost especially money is tight at this point and I'm only going to focus on need items.

We were given one for dd, but we didn't like it. Once she started walking and not wanting to stay in the cart we got a small backpack she could wear that had a leash with it. We are looking at getting a backpack bag for the twins to keep our hands free.

My mom bought me a vera bradley one before DD was born and I love all the pockets even though vera bradley isn't normally my style. DH bought me a timi and leslie for Christmas and I love it! I think both of those are roomy enough for 2 LO's.

If so, which one are you eying/have you purchased? If not, what will be your substitute? I've been a major Coach lover and my sister used the same Coach diaper bag for both of her girls and it held up great, so I always envisioned myself getting one of my own. However, our outlet store hasn't had any lately so I've been exploring other options. One bag I've found and really love is this Petunia Pickle Bottom Satchel:

It's pretty pricey too, but I like that it doesn't look like a diaper bag and I've heard good things about the ease of cleanability.

I'm a very thrifty person, we bought my DS's crib from Walmart, his changing table was a free hand me down, and we didn't spend a lot if we didn't have to. However, when it came to diaper bags I decided I HAD TO HAVE a Petunia Pickle Bottom bag. I purchased a Crosstown Clutch on mega deal + using credits on RueLaLa. Having a summer baby, it was perfect for a few diapers, wipes, and an extra onesie (along with my phone and credit/debit cards). By fall I found a deal on an previous season print of a Sashay Satchel at a local baby boutique semi-annual sale. It was about 40% off full retail. I LOVE my Sashay Satchel, and love the PPB line.

I see no need right now to invest in another bag, as my current bag will do just fine. I love the ease of wearing it as a backpack, which is what I often have to do these days. It's large enough for multiple diapers, toys, books, my large wallet, wipes, epi-pen, etc. However… I do wish I had thought to get one of the water proof coated type of bags. I got the regular cloth one, and in a lighter print. It doesn't look all that dirty, but it's not brand spanking new looking anymore of course. It is holding up wonderfully I'll add! Worth every penny!

I have the Skip Hop Studio Tote in Pewter Dot. I loved it for DS. I'm not convinced that it will be enough room for 2 kids, but we will see. I have another larger tote that I can use instead if need be.

I should mention that when I first got the bag, the silver trim and handle seemed a little too shiny for my liking. So I scuffed the trim up a bit (with a nail file or sandpaper, can't remember which) to give it more of a distressed look.
