Finally able to BUMP again (UPDATES INCLUDED)!

I posted last week about my 18 month old nephew having a broken femur that was not found by the doctors after my sisters wreck. Then, I spent the weekend in the hospital with them, phone died so I couldn't update. I came to work yesterday and my hard drive crashed, so I am FINALLY able to bump again. My 18 month old nephew had surgery to re-set his femur (re-break) and he is in a hip spica cast for 6-8 weeks. His cast covers his entire left leg, goes up to his rib cage, across and down to just above the knee on his right leg. I don't know how they missed it on x-ray, but it is healing now. He is very restricted in the cast, but he is not in any pain and is acting much better and is eating normally again. Also, someone asked if he was the same nephew that had his arms broken in the wreck (maybe it was @TaterTat3)... He isn't. My 9 year old nephew had a broken ankle/foot and two broken wrists. My sister will have surgery on her leg and ankle on Thursday. 

Thanks again for all of your posts and thoughts. I think they are all healing now!

    Glad he is feeling better! I misread your post before and thought you were talking about your 9 year old nephew having the broken femur...hopefully they all heal quickly! :)

    9 year old (night of accident, its all I had on my phone) and 18 month old yesterday and at the hospital (he is actually 19 months now)... He is learning to move with it!imageimageimage

    @awwwpuddin - Everyone asks about the diaper...  :D

    We take a size 1 diaper and just tuck it up into the cast (like in the bottom picture), them you take a size 6 diaper and put over the cast to help hold the size 1 in place. It works well, except that you have to change it ALOT or it will get into the cast, which would be disgusting after 6-8 weeks... Changing his is a two person job. I try to be busy when he needs a diaper change so my mom and sister have to do it (her foot/leg is hurt, but her arms and hands can still change diapers!!).

    Awww what sweet boys. I am glad everyone is on the mend. My nephew had his leg crushed by a newspaper dispenser a few weeks ago, and it is amazing how quickly their little bones heal. He's already into a walking cast. I hope the same is for your nephews! I hope your sister's surgery is a success.

    Oh my goodness what sweet little guys. Good update, I'm glad they are all on the mend. Good work on the dipe lol, that is very interesting and creative!
