It was a good day!

So my day started out frustrated because I didn't hear my beta results from Friday (4wks 5days). I called the office to find out the results and talk about a time to go in for a second beta... And my results weren't back yet and no doctors were there today. They finally called me back from the other office and told me my initial beta was 2,056. I went in right after they called for a second blood draw and I apparently have a UTI but it is being taken care of. So, while waiting for my results from today, I go to the casino 45 min from me with my mom. I didn't even go through $20 yet and won $430. On the way home, I get impatient and anxious, running all bad scenarios in my head and I call the office because it is now 5PM. They said my blood went out late and they didn't have the results yet but would call me by the end of the night. 8:55, I finally get the call that today's Beta was 7,491. She also said my progesterone looked excellent. This has me finally feeling positive for once.

Now, she said to come in for another u/s next week and she didn't see the need for another beta but I could come in Wednesday if I really wanted. What would you ladies do?

ETA: Sorry for being AWish, but it has been so long since I have actually felt positive.

    Sounds like it was a great day. I agree that another round isn't probably necessary. If you want the piece of mind, it wouldn't hurt. Good luck at your appt next week.

    It is in my siggy, but I am usually mobile also. I had 4 losses so I am just so anxious, but maybe I am overthinking it.

    PS- I don't know where the monkey came from at the end if my post.... Damn mobile bumping! Lol

    Hooray! That's great news. I'd probably skip another beta draw; the u/s will tell you a lot more at this point. When do you get to go in for that?

    Congratulations that is such great news! And you definitely don't need to apologize for being aw'ish, moments like this need to be celebrated! :)

    Those are awesome betas! Like many of the PP, I don't think I'd go for a 3rd round of betas. The u/s next week will give you a lot more info. Sending T&P that you have a great u/s!

    Those are great betas! Congrats! Like many of the others, I would not go in for another beta. At this point, an ultrasound would tell you more. Additionally, beta doubling times often slow down a bit after reaching 6,000 causing unnecessary stress for those of us fixated on the 48 hours doubling time maximum we often hear about. 

    Good luck with your ultrasound! How far along will you be when you get the ultrasound? Somewhere around 6 weeks and a few days?

    Maybe I will just do the u/s next week since the doctor felt I didn't need it and you ladies don't think so either. The stress of waiting for that damn phone all drives my PGAL brain crazy... Well crazier!

    I'd just wait until Wednesday, and play it by ear.  My doctor let me go in every other day until I hit 10,000.  I thought I'd quit after I saw a steady rise, but it was comforting to go in every two days until we got to be our LO on US!

    Congrats on great betas and the win! I agree and wouldn't do another beta.  It sounds like it's stressing you out while waiting for the results and I'm not sure if that's worth it.  Plus, the numbers are pretty high now, so they might not double as quickly.  I would wait until the u/s next week as that will tell you a lot more about what is going on.
