Uterus Small, Baby Big?!

Last Thursday I had an appointment with my OB and he was concerned because I was measuring 1.5 weeks behind my 34w5d mark as of that day.  He ordered an ultrasound to check my fluid levels, uterine shape, and on the baby.  I had my ultrasound this morning, they didn't tell me anything about my fluid or uterus, but did say that he was measuring 36w1 day, but I'm 35w2d today.  I'm confused how my uterus is measuring small while he's measuring ahead of schedule?  Nothing appears wrong with him, so I'm happy, but has anyone else had this happen?

    With DS, I started measuring small somewhere around the mid- to late-30s weeks. Ultrasound confirmed baby was fine, it was just that he had dropped down more into my pelvis.

    Ha! I'm measuring 3 weeks behind and they said fundal measurement is so inaccurate that they don't usual send doran ultrasound until it's how's 4 weeks behind.

    I'm measuring 2 weeks behind in fundal height and my OB says thats fine. I'm getting a growth ultrasound probably next week (waiting on the call) but that's bc I had iugr last time so he's making sure everything is good.
