Toddlers: 24 Months+

Hands down the pants...

So, DS, in typical boy fashion, loves to shove his hand down his pants as 2 year olds are wont to do.  We're able to redirect him during the waking hours, but when he goes down for a nap or at night, he tends to pull himself out and winds up peeing all over the place.  We're able to keep his hands out if we put him in a onesie, but I'm not sure they make them bigger than he is right now.  Any suggestions?

Re: Hands down the pants...

  • Try putting the diaper on backwards and then a onesie.

  • My son has been doing the same thing for at least 6months. Since he can't use zippers yet I try to put him in a zippered sleeper and tried to get footless ones. Hoping when he does figure out the zipper I can put the PJs on backwards and that might help.
I will be watching this thread to see if there are any other suggestions

  • So we tried the backwards diaper thing for the nap, and no go. That boy is determined! The good news is that the sleepers go up to pretty big sizes' so we have time to break the overnight habit that way. He may be spending the next few months in overalls during the day. Sigh.
