Where to put baby video camera?

So currently I have the camera on the side railing of baby's crib. I know once he starts moving I need to move it. We do not have a bureaus near. Any suggestions where you are putting camera? You mounting it on the wall?

Ours is on the crib ledge, but it's taped on the back, so it can't be knocked over.

We have a bookshelf next to the crib that is at an angle in the corner. We have the camera on a shelf there.

For now we have it on a tripod next to the crib. We have the cord wrapped all the way down the tripod so she can't grab it. Although, now that she is starting to put her limbs out though the crib rails I think we need to put it farther away. She has kicked one of the legs a few times and I'm getting worried about it falling over if she ever hit it hard enough.

We are installing a small shelf to put it on. Right now she is still in her PnP in our room so we haven't gotten around to it

There is a 5k I run every September that benefits an organization (savanah's playground) that was started because their daughter (who took a lot of years and fertility treatments to conceive) died from strangulation from her monitor. It's a heartbreaking story. Please don't put the cord anywhere near the crib!!

Just to clarify, the monitor is not within her reach. It's also is taped all the way down the back, so there are no loose cords.

Thanks everyone. Now that he is moving I knew I better move it quick. I actually had a tall light that is not within arms reach of the crib. I used zip ties and tied it to it.

We have some book ledges on the wall near her crib and have it on there for now. We don't have to cord secured yet since she isn't mobile but plan on having it completely covered with something like this.

We're using the Angel Care movement, sound, and video monitor. Although ironically, we haven't used the sensor pad so far since she's been sleeping in our room (we keep saying we are going to move her crib to her own room but we've been procrastinating :P).

We mounted ours on the wall next to LO's crib and tacked the wires to the wall away from reach. It just hangs from a single nail about 3 feet away from the top rail.

We use the Summer monitor from Costco and love it. I find the temperature reading helpful too. We use the extra camera when we go out of town so we don't have to unplug the more permanently mounted one in his room.
