Gender reveal

Are you finding out the sex of your baby? If so will you reveal it in a cute way and if yes how?
I'm thinking pink or blue confetti in a dark / black balloon and popping it over my son's head. :) but I won't know either, will give the envelope to the party store and let them put it in.
But looking for other cute ideas too.

Re: Gender reveal

  • Yes.

Nothing cute, probably just a mass text.

  • Not until baby is born.  I am as excited as everyone else but cannot reproduce the excitement in the delivery room beforehand.  Those are some of the best memories of my life!

  • with my son We didnt find out, so this time I am wanting to My husband still is on the fence if he wants to know. So if he doesn't its going to be hard to keep it a secret from him.
    lol

  • My Husband and I just talked about this. We haven't told our friends yet but since our family's are all over the country are friends have become our family. What we decided to do was invite our friends over and not tell them. Then when it comes time to do dessert we are going to pull out a gender reveal cake.

  • not finding out sex of the baby until it is born.  I did this with my first and it was so exciting, wouldn't do it any other way for future children

silly question off this topic, how do you have all those cute little age boxes? where do I go to make one for my son and my baby to be??
  • We aren't finding out :) I love the idea of a surprise but totally understand why you would want to know.

If we were finding out, we would have the ultrasound tech write it in a card. I would bring an addressed and stamped envelope with me for her to put the card in and send it to this person: https://www.etsy.com/listing/121984403/confetti-balloon-revealer-for-gender

I love the purple dotted balloon. So much cuter than black in pictures. I would not want DH or anyone else to know either. I also would have a hard time not peeking if the card stayed with me or I had to carry it over to the party store! I wouldn't trust some party store clerk not to ruin the surprise.

I would also double check with the tech how confident they feel about the guess. A lot of times they can tell you they feel pretty good about it because they got the right angle/position. Other times it is not much better than just a guess.

Personally I would only invite close friends and family to a cookout and not let anyone know that we will be doing a gender reveal. That way they don't bring gifts or anything and it can be a true surprise!

  • With our first we didn't find out, and it was fun not knowing and when he came out my husband said its Zander. but I want to experience the knowing this time and buying things ahead of time, etc :O)
your right the purple would be nice... although I did see a black baloon with white polka dots and it was cute.... my sister did it where she didn't know and took it to party city and they were very good at not saying a word to her.  :O)

as for the sex, im finding out through blood test. so its 98% + accurate :O)
