Low- Friday I found out my dad had been in the emergency room Thursday and was still recovering from swallowing a metal bristle from a grill-cleaning brush. He was vomiting up blood, it was stuck in his throat and everything. He's ok now, just has scratches in his throat that have to heal. According to the hospital, it's not uncommon. Who knew?
High- I got the whole house cleaned and organized yesterday. It made for a sucky day, but I feel so much better not living in chaos. It was making me nuts.
Wow Beebop, that crazy. That is so weird that it's not uncommon. I've never heard of someone having that happen. Glad he's ok.
Low: DS was kind of a pill over the weekend but he had his sweet moments. DH was on 12 hour midnights. Makes for a long day. I had baseball tournaments and while fun we lost both of our games. I also slide home (safe) but have a nice raspberry on my shine.
High: It rained! Ha! My grass needed it so bad! Got a few things done around the house I've been wanting to. Feels good to have it done.
Low - I got on the scale and am sitting at 7 pounds over my WW goal. I cannot get motivated! I know you are all starting a challenge today, but I'm going to be realistic and not start any serious weight loss efforts until 9/1. I have a BBQ this coming Saturday, a vacation long weekend 8/13-8/17 and then DD's party on 8/31. I'm just going to muddle through and start on 9/1.
High - A wedding Saturday and other great QT with DH. My in laws all came over Friday night and it was really fun. Just a fun family packed weekend and I'm sad it's over!
High: DH and I had date night on Saturday and went to dinner & a movie. Then yesterday we spent around 4 hours walking around State Fair. It was a good weekend.
Low: We spent around 4 hours walking around state fair. I started feeling really sore and we left, but then for the rest of the day yesterday I felt pretty close to terrible, where I actually contemplated calling the doc on call. Where my legs connect to my hips, I'm getting shooting pains every time I take a step. Is this normal later in pregnancy?
Add this to the things I never had while pregnant the first time. I feel terrible still today. If it's still bad tomorrow, then I'll call.
High: We had a nice lazy weekend at home, we only left once and it was to go to the splash pad! We also got a bunch of cleaning done including cleaning out the fridge and freezer.
Low: Not much, I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't start packing for the cabin, but we don't leave for over a week so it's fine.

I didn't really have hip pain while pregnant with DD. However, as a result of her delivery, I now have horrible hip pain that comes and goes but is always a little bit there. I'm so terrified of what it will feel like during the next pregnancy.
Highs: MIL came over Sat night and watched DD for a few hours so DH and I could go to a movie. We saw Guardians of the Galaxy and it was great! I didn't know much about it going in, but DH was way excited to see it.
My mom helped me with yard work at our new house Sat morning and we worked until it was too hot.
Low: Even though we worked for several hours, we only got the flower bed on the left hand side of the front of the house cleared. It's like 10 ft long. Whoever thought ivy was a good idea is a moron. And it's even thicker on the other side.

We saw it too! Both of us were sort of "meh" about seeing it, but were laughing the whole time. I'm really glad we went--it was so much more entertaining than I thought it was going to be. My niece & 2 kids (who are now 25) that I used to babysit for went to midnight showings and put on FB how it was so awesome, so that's why we went. I'm glad we did!
HIghs: My sister-in-law got married! I actually fit into my bridesmaid dress and the kids were awesome. Sawyer and Emma were the flower girls, so cute. They made it almost all the way down the aisle and then Sawyer threw her basket on the ground and sat down. Emma picked up the basket and then Sawyer and carried her the rest of the way, best big sister ever.
Lows: It rained in San Diego and the outdoor wedding became an indoor wedding! Our hair was all flat and frizzy weird and we didn't have a lot of options for pictures. The bride got sick at the reception and threw up on her dress. She hadn't had a sip of alcohol yet so it wasn't that. She had to change into a dress that was super unflattering and ended up leaving early. That was a major bummer, but she handled it well.

High: We had a fairly large group of friends over on Saturday for a BBQ then spent part of yesterday at a local music festival. I ate too many festival snacks, but they were delicious, the music was great and the kids had a blast dancing. I didn't have a single work-related issue all weekend.
Low: DD was super clingy Saturday, to the point that I had to hold her for hours or she'd cry. So much for thinking she'd enjoy playing with some other kids. I am still so sore today from my long run yesterday. I have 5 weeks until the race, and I feel like I've hit a wall.
Highs: Making some decisions about our house (picking tiles, carpeting, counters and cabinets). H is on the same style page as me, when I ask his opinion, which I never thought would happen.
Lows: H has not wanted to help with any of the interior house decisions lately until I pester him about them and then he says he doesn't care. Yes he does, I'll never hear the end of it if I chose the wrong counters in the kitchen. He's driving me crazy making me figure everything out myself. I wish he'd help a bit more.
Edited for how whiny it sounds and for hubby bashing, which I don't typically like to do.

"That went over your head." "Nothing goes over my head. My reflexes are too fast. I would catch it." hahaha
Highs: The weather was absolutely perfect! We were in the 80's. (Normal temps are mid 90's) So I spent most of Friday & Saturday morning outside with DS. We went on walks both mornings. DH got some much needed overtime.
Lows: DH got the much needed overtime. Left Friday morning for work and returned Saturday morning so he spent much of the day asleep. Went shopping for new living room furniture and the only thing we agreed on was over $3,000.00 and we would still need chairs. It took 2 yrs the last time to find what we liked.
High: It was a relaxing weekend, with very little plans. I have been needing that, after all the work stress I've had recently. I have an interview coming up this week with a local hospital about a director position for their inpatient mental health unit. Because it was so calm around our house, I was actually able to prepare for it. Also, a co-worker texted me over the weekend that a therapist she knows is interested in working at our agency, which would be wonderful timing if it works out.
Low: our power went out yesterday for 2.5 hours and it got so hot in our house. It has been 100+ everyday for 2 weeks now. Last night it was 82 in our house....

I still remember when we went furniture shopping for our current house 6 years ago. I was making so many decisions for the house, working FT and going to school FT. Way too much on my plate. We were in a furniture store and I literally broke down in tears. Mind you DH and I weren't married/engaged even at the time. He should have run then! Ha! Hope you guys find something you both love and it's feasible. That's the worst!
High- getting into our new house to clean and move boxes into the garage.
Low- Feeling like I didn't get to see ERy much since we were doing house stuff all day yesterday and he was with Gigi.
High and Low- We found a slug named Macaroni for ERy to bring to school for creepy crawly week... but it died. But then we happened to find another one (which DH named Rigatoni) this morning on the way to the car. They are gross but I feel totally victorious and ERy was THRILLED.
Low: H had staff duty Saturday so he was gone for 24 hours less than 2 weeks after having a baby/c-section. No one would switch days with him which totally pissed me off. Luckily my SIL is here so I did have help. I'm also exhausted, but that's normal with a newborn.
High: Bennett is getting better at breast feeding and it's not nearly as frustrating for either of us. I haven't cried out of breast feeding frustration in days. Also, Audrey has been so good, very few fits were thrown this weekend!
Low: Worked all weekend and didn't see the kids much.
High: The weekend passed quickly.
Double High: I had my job interview this morning and they offered me the job after the interview and an hour of shadowing!!! I'm so happy I could cry.
Awesome!! Congratualtions!
Thank you!! Now I just need to find childcare and I can start at any point. The position is for a medical receptionist. Everyone was so nice and the office was great.
Highs: We went to the pool twice and Lily and I spent some time with my brothers and mom.
Low: We dog sat for my mom. Her dog and my dog kept me up late and woke us up early. Also, my husband and I got into an argument about fridge organization.
High-we decided to drive straight home from West Virginia on Saturday instead of stopping in Indiana and staying over. We got to wake up in our own beds, and it gave us yesterday at home to relax and get ahead on the week for my H. Also, we took both boys to Planes 2 and Will did really well!
Low-we decided to drive straight home from West Virginia on Saturday. We spent 15 hours in the car and since we were in the mountains in the morning, it kicked up my morning sickness/nausea and I felt super icky most of the day. Too many curves. I vacuumed the whole house yesterday and then picked up our dog from the boarding place. He has spent the past 22 hrs shedding on every square inch of carpet we have, and I have no energy today to redo my vacuuming.
@Jenndub you must post pics of your girls as flower girls!!!!
High: H had a meeting out of town in Muncie IN so we tagged along for the trip. It was nice to get out of the house and not have to worry about housework or any of that sort of thing. I didn't want to keep the kids cooped up in the hotel room for 4 days, so we found a lot of parks to play at, visited the children's museum, and spent time at their splash pad. It was nice to spend quality uninterrupted time with the kids--mainly Jasper.
Low; H had a meeting out of town in Muncie IN so we tagged along for the trip. I forgot how much fun awful it is traveling with an infant who hates the car. (I feel like I wrote this same thing a few weeks ago when we went up to Michigan). I spent a majority of the ride sandwiched between the two kids in the back of our compact car..... ouch.
High: going to a party at this really cool indoor pool club. It had splash pad, lazy river, etc. The kids had so much fun, especially dd. She had me cracking up & smiling the entire time.
Low: ds came down with a fever last night & is home today. Tested negative for strep, but his fever hasn't gone down much at all.
High: getting to go to my uncles wedding reception, and seeing lots of family. DS got to spend a whole long weekend with his grandparents
Low: DS had a mild fever when I picked him up from the babysitters Friday night, and we had to make a 2 hour drive. That also meant DH couldn't go to the reception.
Low: No tap water. ( I live in Toledo. This past Saturday was our neighborhood-wide garage sale and between the rain and people hoarding/panicking/acting like it's the apocalypse, it killed my garage sale. Also, no restaurants were open because of the water situation so DH and I couldn't go on our weekly Saturday night date. He's a full time student and he works so Saturday is the one night a week that we carve out a little time for ourselves.
High: I still made $150 so the garage sale wasn't a total waste of time. Also DD was in a terrific mood all weekend. She's been so cooperative, helpful, and caring. I wish I could bottle days like that.

Gah so cute!! And you look amazing! I cannot wait to see Clennontine, I bet she is just going to be a doll!!! ( I still just love Clementine so much lol)
