Ok it was like 2 weeks ago, but he danced for the first time. I just looked at him and said "What are you doing? Are you dancing? Who taught you that? DH, do you see this?"
I mentioned this in Spam, but he also pet the cat with his foot and tried to turn his nightlight off with his foot. I don't know that counts as an "achievement", but it definitely made me laugh.
Not so cute - She has started to get angry when she has poop in her diaper. So if we didnt notice she did it or dont change it fast enough she will start to yell and grunt at us while either bouncing on her butt (not helping there sweetie) or grabbing at her crotch. While kind of funny to watch its crazy how fast she goes from happy to get this off me now. And of course she despises being laid down for changes.
We have a chair that we push up against the door because it's not like a regular door with a knob, it just pulls open with a handle. He now knows how to push the chair out of the way and pull the door open. The laundry room is where we keep the dogs food and water bowls, not good.
He also mimics us when we sneeze. It seriously might be the cutest thing ever!
We think he's been trying to jump. He doesn't actually jump, but he bends his knees a bit, puts his arms back behind him a bit, sticks his chin in the air, then swings his arms forward and straightens his legs. It's really cute and had me and DH laughing hysterically when he did it over and over.
He also now will climb in my lap, lay down, point to my boob and says "that" when he wants to nurse. I think he enjoys this control because he's been doing it quite a bit. This is not helping the weaning situation.
He's also been getting good at feeding himself with a fork. He can poke the things and when he gets them, he gets so happy and excited. He'll kick his feet, get a big smile on his face, show you and go yay before eating it. So adorable.
Oh he also says night night and waves to his dad when I go to take him up to bed at night. Now if he'd only actually sleep in his crib after doing that, that'd be awesome.
Standing on her own, she actively participates in hide and seek as both the hider and seeker, shakes her head no, jumps from the pool ledge in swim class. Oh and today while she was dancing I said, "I see your butt!" And she pointed to her butt. Such a fun age!
Jae can now successfully and with ease climb on AND off the couch. Also learned how to open the fridge. He can climb off his giraffe scooter. Pretends to read with you, exclusively drinks from a straw cup, a couple other things.
E learned how to open the hamper and pick up the clothes and throw them in. Which lead to him throwing my clothes into the tub with me while I was showering yesterday.
He also started walking long distances (more than 3-4 steps) this week.
Yesterday she put Mommy Hugs on my lap like five or six times to read. Today she shoved it in my face two or three times, and DC Super Friends too. Yesterday she spun on her butt for the first time. She's been spinning while standing for a while now. She started walking backwards this week too. I've also taught her to bat her eyelashes, l.o.l. I don't think that started this week, but d.h. noticed it this week.
He's pretty good at playing by himself and will do his own thing for stretches of time, but the last few days he's been taking breaks from his play to crawl over and get a hug. Then he goes back to whatever he was doing. Melts my heart. He's also gotten much more skilled at dancing.

We have been working on animal sounds. Wyatt can now howl like a wolf, clap and says uh uh uh like a sea lion, say bock bock bock for a chicken, and hits his chest and says oh oh oh for gorilla. It's so cute!!
Climbs on coffee table, climbs into toy box, thinks walking is a snap so running should be easy (until he falls), thinks he can swim, can empty the dishwasher in the blink of an eye, open his brother's door because it doesn't latch all the way to get to they Lego chest. Sooooo, basically anything to give mommy gray hairs. My older two were so calm and cautious, I guess the odds were against me to have three for three.
He said "bye bye" once & is obsessed with threading straws through the top of Starbucks cups. Not getting it or having the straw break brings his world to an end.
The tantrums & drama llama muchness are starting too. As well as some Mama Resource Guarding. He's asserting himself to big sister too. She seems puzzled that she can't always get him to play her way now
Vinny says Moo, Meow, Oof, and Baa when we ask him what a cow, cat, dog and sheep say. He sees pictures of himself as a newborn and says "Baby". He now knows where is ear and nose are when we ask him! This is new over the past 2 days.

@lancomechica Vinny is ahead of Alden. A does a very cute quack quack, but it is only loosely associated with duck. And whether we say where is your nose, your eyes, your ears, Alden always proudly grabs his ears and smiles. Still cute and funny.
Yesterday we were over at a friend's house and I was holding Sully. He looked up at me, made the smooshy face, and wouldn't stop until I made it too. Then we had a smooshy face-off and we were both giggling. Love that kid!
My favorite recent thing is that he learned the word "catch". Ball was one of the first words that he learned and used regularly, but I love that now he only says ball when he randomly sees one, but catch is a request to play with him. And he says it every.single.time. he throws the ball.
Oh, and he also fed himself a whole bowl of applesauce from a spoon. I find this particularly impressive because since we did BLW instead of purees, the kid has practically never been spoon fed.
Parker tries to put his shoes on, it's adorable. I put them on, he growls then takes them off and tries to do it himself. He is also a runner, he's trying to keep up with Josephine. He has also taken to throwing things away... good when it's trash, bad when it's his bink or my keys.
