3rd Trimester

3rd baby, 3rd trimester very uncomfortable!

I have major pain/discomfort in the nether region. It makes it so hard to walk and even to get out of a sitting posititon. Doctor says not to worry, but I am so uncomfortable I don't know how to make it better. Maybe this is TMI, but it kind of feels like hubby and I had hard sex for hours and we haven't had sex in at least a week! lol I don't know how else to explain it. Does anyone else have this issue?

Re: 3rd baby, 3rd trimester very uncomfortable!

  • Okay, I am already sooo nervous about this.  My belly is already huge (bigger than my belly with DD when I measured 6 weeks ahead, blah!) and I'm dreading being in the 3rd tri (and in the heat of the summer) with baby #3... all while lugging around 2 toddlers.

I may need to rent a motorized scooter. I ked. I ked.  Although it's not a bad idea.

  • I only have 8 weeks to go. My hips and back don't bother me at all. I am much smaller with this one than I was with the first 2 and it has been a while since I was pregnant. I mean my boys are 9 and 12! This was a surprise!! I just pray that it stays put until the due date because I am in college and I have finals the week that I am due. So I have added stress.

  • I am also so uncomfortable and I have 5 weeks left. I didn't feel this discomfort with my first two.
  • May I join the 3rd baby, 3rd trimester painful club?

I had surgery in October that included cutting and removing a small portion of my stomach muscles from each side plus abdominal tissue and skin resulting in a 22 inch scar. A few weeks after surgery I found out I was 3 weeks pregnant at the time of surgery. So I really do understand painful this time around.

And I've recently gotten that "down there" pain. I was trying to describe it to DH and the best I could come up with was saddle sore.

  • 7 weeks to go! Third baby, third trimester and I feel like this is the worst pregnancy as far as aches and pains. Granted my 2nd is turning 6 this August, so its been awhile since I've been preggo Wink My back is killing me (thanks to the sciatica I encountered with my first and it never went away!) And this time around, BH contractions are ridiculous! I didn't have them this bad with my first two but my midwife told me that they get more intense with each pregnancy...awesome. Hang in there! We can get through this ladies!
  • This is the most uncomfortable pregnancy I've had. I can't wait for July because with the pain it seems so much further away than it really is. I even do Yoga, which I've also done with my other two children, and that makes it better for about an hour and then the pains are back. Drives me crazy!!!
  • Also my third baby, and the pain/swollen feeling down there and my inner thighs seems to be a lot worse than I remember with the first two. But I do have to say from 38weeks on, I have felt pretty great despite that soreness.

  • That's how I felt with my second baby. By the time the last month rolled around, it felt like my bones were being torn apart and nothing I did helped. Turned out she was a very big baby, so that could explain my problems. This time things have been so much easier. I'm not sure why. Maybe it'll get more painful the closer I get ??

  • Ugh it's bad already for me too. I feel like my pubic bone is tearing itself apart. Takes me a minute or two to get out of bed and walk down the hall! Hard to imagine the next 13w :/

  • It does feel like the pubic bone is being torn apart! My OB said that those bones are shifting and getting ready for baby and that it is normal.  However, I have been feeling this discomfort for a lot longer than she thinks I should. Went the the doctor yesterday and she said everything looks great and to go get a perinatal cradle to help with the discomfort. I guess that is where I'll be going today. I really don't think this baby will be as big as the last one. My last one was 9 pounds and 22 inches. I literally held my crotch when I coughed or sneezed because it felt like he was going to fall out! lol

Good luck ladies! We can do this, we've done it before!!

Me too!!! Pubic pain, pelvic pain, back pain....the other 2 pregnancies seemed easier. Try a maternity support belt anytime you'll be doing anything that has you on your feet (cleaning, walks, etc), it helps me some. Other than that, Tylenol and a heating pad, and about 85 pillows wedged in various books and crannies to attempt to sleep at night!

Oops....totally didn't notice how old this is!!!!
  • The pregnancy support belts are supposed to help with these!
  • 3rd baby, 3rd tri 8 weeks left and I have so much pressure

I have a painful pulling RLP from mid hip down toward the girl bits and then they feel throbby

I'm not very big either and I have gained 20 but petite to start. I'm 124 now, ugh baby is all front and super low
  • 3rd baby, 3rd tri and 8 weeks left too.  Have a feeling this is another huge baby (last one was 9lb 2 oz) and the weight of this baby is causing hemroids and it's so uncomfortable.  Last time I had to buy $100 foam to ease the excruciating pain.  Starting back to work at a school in a couple weeks and not looking forward to sitting at a desk, I think sitting for long periods may perpetuate the problem.
