Probably a stupid reason to be pissed off but I'm mad at my husbands friend K. I swear everytime we do xyz or husband does xyz then K has to do xyz all of a sudden. We buy a racecar for the dirt track now all of a sudden K has to start racing again. Now all of a sudden today K and his gf L announce they are pg and due in March. The thing is K can't have kids. At all. Even with IVF help he can not have kids (drunk, electricity, balls, zap...). So yay... Now everything is about them...ugh... And K and my husband both have L's dad as a boss. As if things weren't fun enough at work for him. So yeah I realize I probably sound selfish but I needed to vent.

EDIT******Clarify - a) I was semi asleep when writing.

it's his new girlfriend he's been with maybe 2 months. C) he and his last girlfriend tried for 1 year D) he can't have kids because he and his friends (not with my husband) tried to do a jackass type stunt and hook electricity to his nuts and fried them so according to 3 doctors he is unable to produce sperm and adoption was the only way to have kids. E) am I pissed it's all about them yeah a little. It's been 13 years since I was pg, it's my husbands first kid, and the what we do he does thing has been going on for almost a year, and he freely admits the only reason he is dating now current gf is so he could get his old job back since her daddy is the boss.

Instead of being angry or jealous of their baby, be happy for them. A: your kid will have a playmate and B: this baby is a miracle, unless you are trying to say that the baby isn't his.

As for the race car, maybe your husband' s car motivated him to start racing again so he could have a buddy to do it with. There is nothing abnormal about that. You need to take a chill pill.

I'm not going to be mad at you for this. Not exactly the same, I don't know exactly what feelings you're feeling right now. With my first pregnancy I announced and anytime I discussed my pregnancy everyone on my moms side would say "well, your cousins doing great, we're so proud". I was hurt because my pregnancy was barely acknowledged and an after thought to everyone. She did it accidentally at a party while I tried for years but I felt unimportant and secondary to her because she lives closer and she's the favorite on that side. I was honestly afraid that it would happen again this time with another cousin but I'm ready now. Last time I thought long and hard about it and realized it doesn't matter if no one else is excited because I am, I was and my babies will always be first in my book so I should be happy for others. So my cousin has a cute kid about my DS's age and now the only thing I worry about is my other cousins medical condition because it can cause complications.

In short, it doesn't matter who gets attention or excitement and so what if your husband is so awesome that he has a follower. The 2 of you have your child that you're excited about and you love and your all the love that baby will need.

I know it's frustrating when a friend copies everything you do! I have been there.

It sounds like it's not this guy's baby so is he making it up? Not questioning it after several Drs said he was sterile? I would just try to ignore and see how it plays out.

Maybe it's just me, and my life but real friends don't give a shit when other friends "copy". Usually it's like minds doing/enjoying the same thing. And I personally like having buddies to go through life experiences with. I tried to have pregnancy buddies with my friends, but IVF has it's own agenda. And for the record, how she got pregnant is their business. Infertility sucks so more power to him, if he is happy with the situation. ... Try to be flattered instead of jealous of this friendship

Maybe I am just taken back because I am one of those couples that wanted a baby for a long time and couldn't get pregnant. I can guarantee that I would end a friendship with a jealous and immature person like you. It only takes 1 sperm, and unless you held his hand and went with him to his urology appointments, it sounds like you don't really know what his true situation is. As a couple that also struggled with MFI, I can tell you how hard it affects men when guys find out there is an issue. You are also very uneducated on how IVF works if he produced NO sperm IVF would not be an option. Do us and your SO friend all a favor and stop judging him. If you can't be happy for him at least I can tell you I am, and I hope he enjoys parenthood to the fullest, and may this be the best surprise of his life.

Please educate yourself on IVF before you make assumptions on his fertility and her faithfulness. Also revisit sex ed where they teach you it only takes 1 sperm and 1 egg to make a baby.

Be happy for your healthy pregnancy, I agree that it's not a out attention. It's about the blessing of growing a healthy baby. Your jealousy is not something you would want you child to exhibit (I hope). And if they are copying you... Imitation is the highest form of flattery so... Yeah. Give yourself the attention that you want everyone else to give you. They don't HAVE to give a damn about you, but you do, so go with that.

I don't think this is fair to jump on me, be demeaning and say that I'm not educated. I was going off of what she said in her OP about him never being able to produce sperm. She didn't say low sperm. She said none. That's all.

I guess I was just irritated by the OP what I meant is you can't do IVF without sperm (Unless you use donor sperm) <-- but then his sperm would have nothing to do with a failed IVF as OP implied. Honestly sorry if I jumped on you because of OP stupid jealous tangent.

I'm with the other ladies. So you want all the attention on you? Maybe your post just came off wrong but you seemed really selfish & ignorant in your post. Especially to all the ladies who have struggled with IF myself being one of them. I'm just confused why you can't be happy for them and move on? Agree with @sugahcookie01‌ having a child & being pregnant is not for attention my SIL does this and it's obnoxious.

I get that you wanted to have the spotlight on you. I also think you can't just run out say hey my friends having a baby I want one too now puff be pregnant. They probably been trying and this is a coincidence. But the fact that they have only been together 2months and are not using protection and actually making a major life choice to have a child together is in my opinion DUMB AS HELL.
