  I feel the same way about not knowing when I'm *really* in labor, until it gets really intense. I've been having regular contractions every morning for the past week. They just never get worse. Hopefully by the time I really go into labor, I'll already be a few cm dilated :P

  I also feel the same way-I have contractions 5-10 minutes apart all day long..sometimes increasing in intensity.  I am so confused on when to call because they have been like this for so long I am affraid I would miss something.   I hear you, I've been having contractions for weeks with no dilation. I'm a bit worried I won't know when things are happening.
  
  Though if it's any comfort, 3 an hour isn't much. And the real deal will be pretty painful. Hang in there!
