Monitoring Appointment

Went for my CD 12 appt today. Had to do it at a different office and I had a different doctor but everything went fine. I was so afraid I was going to get there and find that I had already ovulated. I didn't get my specific numbers yet (they usually email) but the doc said I had two nice sized follicles on the right, none on the left really and that my lining did much better than on the Clomid. The plan is for me to trigger tomorrow night between 6 and eight and have the IUI on Tues. I'm nervous to do the shot but I'm so excited to finally be doing this. I feel like it took us forever to get here and I just hope it will work.

P.S. My non TTC friends act like I'm ordering a baby off a menu. It's amusing/slash annoying how clueless they can be. I should probably explainit more but I don't usually have the patience.

I was nervous about the trigger shot too. It was the rear end kind. My husband did it and I barely felt it!

Ditto. The needle is tiny and you barely feel it. My DH is a pro!
Glad you got to show off your socks. Hope they bring you lotsa luck!

So glad about the good timing! LOL, I know what you mean about those clueless non-IFers.

A coworker told me that both she and her RE believed she'd always get a BFP first try on IUI with donor sperm, since "everything is perfectly timed, it can never go wrong!" Puke.

I love using statistics on anyone with too high expectations about our own journey (i.e., my husband, or my grammie who can't stop talking about how proud she is that she guessed we were having trouble TTC, and now picks up maternity shirts for me at garage sales because of course I'm practically pregnant now).
