Hi Ladies! I have just completed the miscarriage process, it has been 8-10 days start to finish and the bleeding has completely stopped, finally (The last few days was just spotting) and the day i actually miscarried was Sunday, the 4th day into it. I am glad to officially be able to put this behind me and forget. Now i can move on from this once and for all, look to the future. So what happens now??? I know my hcg is dropping quickly because i've taken a couple tests and the line has gotten much lighter, i just dont know how low my levels are yet. Can i have sex ?? How long should it take for my hormones to normalize and when can i expect a real period? We are obviously going to wait to try for another pregnancy, i just hope its not forever before that happens. Will i likely ovulate this cycle or not til the one after ? How is it that you can get AF without ovulating anyway

    Welcome to the board and I'm sorry for your loss. I want to echo what PP's said and definitely speak to your doctor. In some cases you shouldn't TTC immediately after a loss, I know I had to wait 2 cycles, but that was based on my loss and medical history. Definitely speak to a professional.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. I echo what pp said. Please check with your doctor before ttc and about what to expect with your cycle.

    So sorry for your loss. I will also just repeat what PP have stated. You need to follow your drs instructions and nothing else. Good luck.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. Its good that you feel its behind you now because you've stopped bleeding and you can move on, but a gentle warning - that's only the beginning.
    As PPs said, check the blog and your doctor for the medical stuff and we will be here for the really hard stuff.

    I'm sorry for your loss. Echoing pps comments about talking to your dr. I find it helps to write everything down and have a pen to write down answers too.

    TTC journey started 12/2012

    BFP #1 6/5/2013, MC confirmed 6/26/2013 @ 7 wks

    BFP#2 8/25/2013 MC confirmed 10/16/2013 @ 12 wks (D&C 10/18)

    Diagnosis: unexplained RPL, unexplained IF.

    Also have hypothyroidism

    Started TTC again 12/2013

     

    IUI#1:Clomid CD 3-7, Trigger'ed CD 12. IUI CD 14. BFN

    IUI #2:Letrozole CD 3 - 7, Follistim CD 9, Trigger CD 10, IUI CD12. BFN

    Current plan: IVF with PGD. Antagonist - Vivelle Protocal. Stim start 12/1. ER 12/14.

    My doctor has advised me to wait for a period which he said i should have in 4-8 weeks and that it would be ok to start trying once i do get it. He just hasn't been specific about everything else like how long to stay off sex. I am also going for blood draws every week so they can watch my HCG and monitor me until the levels go down. Then i should be in the clear
