How long from first steps to walking?

Just wondering what the "average" is. DS took his first step on Christmas Eve (I think it was a fluke) but today was really practicing standing and took almost 2 steps.

For DS #1 it was 1 mth from first steps to all out walking. For DD is was closer to like 2 - 2 1/2 mths for the whole process.

    Couple weeks for Joseph, but our living room is a little tight and very conducive to cruising. He wasn't forced to take more than a step or two.

    For DD, it was about 2 - 2.5 months.  DS took his first steps on Dec. 19th, but some days he'll try and some days he doesn't, so we'll see...
