  Sex - biological difference between a male and female body parts gender- his or her role as a man or a woman. They are both basically the same thing. When someone says gender they are referring to the color pink or blue not necessarily the sex.

  Correct me if I'm wrong I believe what I said is true. I'm not totally sure why this is such a big deal. I think we all know what she's referring to by saying "gender reveal" feel free to educate me because I kind of want to know.

  I have. Miss google here lol. Again I've read the same results. Same as what I wrote above before. I'm just curious maybe I've just been understanding it incorrectly. Most people do say "gender reveal" not "sex reveal" I'm sure they know the difference though.

  @pregnantinstyle‌ ...before this woman's post about her baby girl gets totally hijacked... I called it a "baby reveal" because gender can be offensive and sex reveal sounds odd. I never knew the difference before D14 either but i also know i dont want to offend anyone. Gender is between the ears and sex is between the legs. Check out the gingerbread man. Hopefully this clears it up before the OP's post gets out of control. Im sure if you PM one of these ladies, they would be happy to explain further. OP, congrats on your girl!!!!!!!!!!

  Thank you! Honestly, I wasn't trying to be rude or anything. I really needed to know the difference so that I don't sound like a complete idiot the next time someone looks at me and says gender? Lol. You deffinetly right though. I guess the truth is most people don't know the difference between the two and wind up thinking they're the same thing. I'm glad you educated me on that. Thanks again.
