4 month wakeful period question...

I think we are going through this now... how long does this typically last??? We are 2 days in and going crazy... lots of fussing... not taking naps... waking up 5-6 times in the night.... mama is exhausted.

    The worst of it lasted about two weeks and then another two weeks of sleep being up and down. LO's sleep isn't back to how it was before the 4MW but I'll take 2-3 wake ups over waking up every hour or less. Hang in there, it can be pretty rough.

    Oh man... thanks!  I'm bummed, I go back to work in 2 weeks (teacher) this is not how I wanted to spend my last couple weeks with her before work! :(

    Me too! I am a teacher as well and dealing with some crazy sleep changes. But I go back Wednesday. :-( Rough way to start the school year.

    Good luck! I hope you are through the worst of it before school starts. :-)

    Ours lasted 2 weeks as well. We comforted him through the process and he picked up some bad habits (needing to be nursed multiple times to sleep) so be careful and know it comes to an end!

    i'm in the middle of this right now. She will start the night in the crib but will wake up every 1/2 hour or so. One recent night, we counted 7 times we were up with her to get her to go back to sleep. Once we got to 4 AM we put her in the rock n play and she slept soundly for 3-4 hours. Such a regression! I'm so worried about bad habits but we all (baby included) need to sleep.

    this stinks.
