Hi all,
I'm looking into going to see a naturopath, just to start feeling proactive, since I've yet to get any answers. I'm just wondering if any of you went for naturopathy, accupuncture, etc- and how you found it went? My OB won't do any testing/investigation until after 3 losses, but I'm feeling the need to do something, just not sure what.
Thank you in advance for your insights.

DX: RPL due to submucosal uterine fibroid. Hysteroscopy 12/16. All clear!
I've never been to acupuncture as I stopped looking into it once I began seeing progress with my chiropractor. Acupuncture has some solid research studies behind it and it helped my grandmother who suffers from RA. I would recommend it those who are interested.
@jj32 & @Km380 , due to being in Canada they are pretty set on huge their rules. They want to send my results from this m/c to the OB who performed my last d&c who I'm not a fan of... I'm going to call next week and ask if I can see my original OB instead. But my hope isn't high for anything to be looked at unfortunately.

I'm all for homeopathic approaches and have seen results from acupuncture for my anxiety. I also understand the need to take action, but quite honestly the shitty part about multiple losses is that answers/reasons can't be found about 50% of the time
4 Losses (2003, 2008, Apr 2012, & Oct 2012) All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal
@LauraO11 - No, unfortunately I go to help keep my back problems under control after I had a failed discectomy and spinal fusion back in 2011. But I have heard my chiropractor talk about using it in terms of infertility but it has a lower success rate than acupuncture from what I was able to find in the past.
@CFearsy, they haven't really given me much choice, but I'm going to try and get my appointment with the OB I prefer. I still have to go to emerg tomorrow for a follow up u/s and bloodworm from this m/c, so I ask ask there again as well. But no, they haven't given me a choice.

Do you need their permission to switch doctors? Maybe it's different in Canada, but in the U.S, you can just call and make an appointment with another OB. I'd probably look into switching practices if they insist on sending you to an OB that you're not comfortable with.

@LauraO11 I did accupuncture and saw a naturopath for a 6 month interval then another 3 month interval. I found the acupuncture released stress, but never noticed that it necessarily helped ttc. Where in Canada are you? I am in Ontario. If you have have any questions about naturopath you can pm me.
@BethKate2 , there is only one OB office in town unfortunately, and technically they won't even see me unless I get a referral for the doctor... And the doctor recommended (and sent my file) to the one I didn't like... But I'm hoping my old OB can swipe it

Do you need a referral from your current OB, though? I just had to call my primary care physician, give them the name of the RE I wanted to see, and they made the referral I needed for insurance purposes.
Good luck getting your current OB to agree to not send you over to the OB you don't like.

Apparently the OB office works under the premise that you are supposed to see the last one who dealt with your case, and they are saying it's the one who did my emergency d&c in April. I'm thinking I will call and schedule an appointment with the one I prefer, before they call me. It's a long wkd here so I have to wait until Tuesday

My husband & I tried for 2 years with no luck of getting pg. I searched for awhile into an acupuncturist and found one who specialized in infertility. I started seeing her once a week, 2 months from my first session I got my first positive pg test. I honestly believe she had a lot to do with it!!!! I lost that pg but went back to her and fell pg again 2 months later. I lost that pg this past feb. I've slowed down with seeing her because I am so discouraged and I have yet to get another positive since. There are docs out there that will test after 2 losses. I had to go thru 3 different ones before I found one that would. I had to kick and scream but it was worth it. I got my answers and I pray you will as well
