Am I alone Here?

Ok, so I don't ever post. My anxiety gets the best of me and I delete before I send.... but I have to ask and I'll try to make this make sense.

For a few weeks now (almost all of my 3rd Tri, I'm just over 35 weeks) when baby moves or I get contractions I get waves of what I compare to anxiety/depression. I'm fine otherwise. I'm not down or sad or anything. It's only during  those times I get that feeling. It is the weirdest thing. It starting getting worse yesterday morning to the point of not being able to finish my food and making me nauseous. I finally broke down and called my doctor about it but really didn't have any luck so I'm bringing it up at my appointment next week.

Anyone else? Or anything comparable?

  • Thanks. No, I got no answers when I called. They just asked me to set up an appointment to come in to talk to them. I'm on weekly appointments now so I didn't need to set one up. Hopefully I'll get some answers next Thursday.
  • My BH causes the top of my uterus/chest to tighten slightly which sorta feels like an anxiety attack. Maybe that's what you're feeling?

  • I haven't felt contractions...but sometimes, my heart will start racing and it'll feel like one of my panic attacks...which, in turn, actually makes me nervous. Maybe you're going through something similar? I'm pretty sure at this point, I'll need to go back on my anti-anxiety meds once baby gets here. Please let us know how your appt goes <3

  • When my LO moves it often feels like I'm going downhill on a roller coaster.  It can take my breath away.  They are moving your organs around trying to fit into a small space.  It could just be your body reacting.  I'd mention it to your doctor when you see him.
  • Ditto I get sudden anxiety/depression when I get certain types of movement and BH contractions, but I also actively struggle with bipolar so I can't honestly tell you if this is something considered normal or part of my speshul snowflakeyness. I hope they have more answers for you at your appointment. Good luck.

  • I've thought several times it could be my struggle with anxiety causing this. I just thou.ght it odd to be happening during BH/movement. Guess we'll see in a little over a week... it can't get here fast enough
