Success after IF

Bed/nap Time Woes

E goes down easily for both the nanny and for mh. But for some reason, every time I am the one putting her down, she screams and cries. I'm doing the routine just like always, and just like the nanny and mh do it.

@pb_bride‌ I know you had a similar issue. Did you figure it out?

Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

Re: Bed/nap Time Woes

  • Sorry you're having this problem!  Toddlers are just a weird creature, aren't they?  No reasoning at all.

The most recent time I had to put M down at bedtime, he miraculously did well!  It was the first time it went smoothly.  He even said "bye bye" to me.  I didn't do anything different, just the same nap routine I do day in, day out.  I don't know what changed.  That was almost 2 months ago so things may be different next time I have to put him down at night.

FWIW, I was ready to "hunker down" with him, meaning, I was planning to just sit by his crib and stay in his room until he was asleep.  That was what I had to do in the past.

Hopefully it's just a phase for E - maybe she's just more clingy to you now that she doesn't get 100% of your attention all.the.time.
