  I had the rash which was very itchy. I'm more concerned about the baby getting sick.

  I'm 10-1/2 weeks and the dr told me I might have to have more sono then usual. My next sono is at 12 weeks. I just feel helpless waiting! This is my first child so I'm very nervous

  My mom had it when pg with me. She was just into second tri so I'm okay but I think it can be bad for baby in the 1st like potato said. If I remember correctly it is the 5 virus after measles, mumps, rubella and varicella.

  My daughter had it a few months ago. It's from a virus and the rash comes after. It's not contagious at that point. We had no idea she had it until daycare said something to us about her splotchy cheeks (looks like someone had smacked them- that's the tell take sign in kids). It can be serious for pregnant women in 1st tri so I would ask about it. I had my immunity tested to see if I need to worry about being exposed.
