Pregnant after a Loss

Sleepless nights...

Anyone else experiencing insomnia?  I am dead on my feet by the time I get home from work and then all of a sudden wide awake from about 2-5 AM!  What is the deal?  My doc said that I could take benadryl to help, but I was wondering about melatonin since it's more natural...any thoughts?

  • Definitely no to melatonin! I was on it before my BFP and was told to stop.

Honestly, I'd probably try warm milk or lavender baths first before trying any drugs or supplements. I hope it's a short-lived phase for you!

I just make myself exhausted before go bed. I go for a walk when I can and I have a shower before. I have been with this problem since week 34 (I am 38 weeks now). I am so uncomfortable. I can wait for the baby to come out, it can't be worse than now! :)

  • My first pregnancy we turned on "ocean sounds" in my phone (a sound machine would work too). We both slept GREAT! :)
