EDD/Weeks: 11/14 - 25 weeks now :-) Symptoms: Feeling this little girl more and more by the day. DH put his face on my stomach the other day and she kicked him in the ear. The look on his face was priceless! Appointments/updates/AW: Nothing new here. GD 1 hour test next Friday. GTKY- pregnancy brain....I don't have anything extreme to put here yet....but I have found myself asking people the same questions more than once or having the same conversations with DH. Luckily nobody has called me out on it yet...I just realize and get embarrassed!
I'm finally on a computer and can participate this week--yay!
EDD/Weeks: 11/15 - 25 weeks tomorrow
Symptoms: My sciatica has gone away some, but I'm not sure if that's because it's really gone, or because I've had a cold and been unable to exercise. Either way, good riddance! Nothing else really to report, except I wish Artoo would move up some so he'd be off my bladder/bowels when he kicks! Appointments/updates/AW: GD test next week sometime. I do want to AW my shirt (see pic below) for all of my fellow nerds :P GTKY- pregnancy brain....I head this off by telling everyone who requests something from me to e-mail me. I warned my students this summer that if they didn't e-mail me requests, then they weren't happening, and I'll do the same for fall semester! My worst one has been not knowing what day of the week it is (which is a problem when you're only teaching 3 of 5 days). And I tell stories over and over again when not pregnant, @crizz13!
Symptoms: I finally SAW the baby kick today. That was fun/weird. My nosebleeds are back in full force. I still look bloated as opposed to pregnant, and I've been feeling almost as gassy as I did in 1st tri.
I also pulled a muscle in my back while washing dishes, and I've been hobbling around ever since. I'm on a heating pad right now.
Appointments/updates/AW: I had some unexplained, very light spotting on Sunday night, Monday morning, and Tuesday morning. I saw my midwife on Monday for an internal exam (which surprisingly hurt like a bitch) and a urine test to check for a UTI, and NO ONE could figure out what the problem was. I got a shot of Rhogam in the tush just in case, but the spotting stopped, so I'm not really worried. Has anyone else had unexplained spotting?
Happy AW: I bought a ton of shit for the nursery at IKEA! And we picked out a potential boy name and girl name for Baby Popcorn!
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? I mentioned this in the FFFC thread, but I was totally confounded by split-top hot dog buns this week and could not figure out how to open one. I looked like one of those people on infomercials who can't perform a really simple task.
Symptoms: Horrid insomnia and sciatica, nothing new
Appointments/updates/AW: My son felt baby girl a few weeks ago, but today is the first time since that he's felt her all on his own (without me asking or telling that she kicked). He was so proud and excited! Appt next Tuesday.
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? Ummm. I can't think of one moment right now, though I know there's been TONS. So...that's kinda funny lol.
Ashley, DH: Paul
Angel Baby: March 09
#1-BFP: 11.17.09~EDD: 7.21.10~Tristan born 7.13.10 via unnecessary c-sec
#2-BFP: 3.17.14~EDD: 11.28.14~ It's A Girl!~Shooting for a VBAC
Symptoms: Sore back. It has been killing. Looking forward to the Chiropractor on Monday. Had a massage last weekend but it sadly did nothing to help.
Appointments/updates/AW: Had apt at 24 weeks and due to Dr being on vaca I won't go back until August 28. I get to do the GD test then. Hopefully we pass
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? My boss has recently been telling our clients and other attorneys to excuse anything incorrect that comes out of our office because his assistant is pregnant and the baby is stealing my brain. lol I haven't messed anything up yet but I keep forgetting facts of certain cases and I guess it has him worried. I have to look everything up now and I never used to so it is a big change for the boss man. DH has even made comments about my crappy memory now.
Symptoms: heartburn/acid reflux is actually better this week due to my new best friend Zantac. However, constipation is a side-effect, so there is no winning (or pooping!)
Appointments/updates/AW: next appointment is in 2 weeks. I'm having an anxious day, because pumpkin has switched positions and her kicks are suddenly very light. I have an anterior placenta, so I know it's normal, but my brain won't calm down
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"?
Symptoms: Now that my bug is gone I'm once again dealing with the lump at the back of my throat, food not sounding good and the occasional dry heaving. Yay. Oh! And when I get out of bed I have some slight pain discomfort really low on my belly. Trying to run at least every other day and get the dogs out for an hour each day.
Appointments/updates/AW: Glucose test coming up on the 19th. And we've found a great deal on a used bassinet and swing, $65 for both and they are less than a year old. Also, I finished all my cloth diaper research so I can now finish registering and start watching for used CDs!
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? I got a little confused on dates... I started thinking DH and my brother were flying in the same day. Not so much! I'm sure that won't even tip the scales though as I progress.
Symptoms: Now that my bug is gone I'm once again dealing with the lump at the back of my throat, food not sounding good and the occasional dry heaving. Yay. Oh! And when I get out of bed I have some slight pain discomfort really low on my belly.
This was me after my stomach bug - OB said it was due to excess leftover acid in my stomach. She prescribed zantac (Which is also OTC) and it was a miracle-drug!
Symptoms: Achey lower back and some heartburn sometimes. Feeling more movement all the time!
Appointments/updates/AW: Went on Monday, and asked my midwife about the dangers of raw sushi. She told me a story about a stillbirth resulting from Listeria. ">
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? Nothing funny, I just ask stupid questions that I know the answer to.
Updates: August 19 I go in for my Ultra sound to see if my Placenta has moved. I also have my diabetes test and I have to get the shot for my negative blood.... fun appt!
GTKY: I left my keys in the ignition and my car in drive all night.
Symptoms: 24 hour heartburn, feeling really huge and starting to get uncomfortable, bloody nose several times a day, my back hurts, tired and hungry all the time (that has remained a constant ha)
Updates: I'm doing an elective ultrasound tomorrow afternoon and I'm nervous! I haven't had an ultrasound in so long! I'm excited to see my baby girl though. I've picked out the bedding set for the nursery so I know my colors now and can get started with decorating. I have been spending an insane amount of money on clothes - but its not my fault all the cutsie winter stuff is on sale in the summer! OH - and a friend of mine has offered to do a shower for me and has already started planning! So happy!!
GTKY: I left my car in drive and got out, started walking away and had to chase it down and slam on the brakes in a crowded parking lot. I'm sure I looked rediculous. I have also cried in public over food several times, which is super embarassing.
Symptoms: just keep getting bigger. Scarlett move a lot! I love it but I have to admit it's starting to get creepy/uncomfortable at times. Kinda alien baby @-)
You sound like my DH. He shies away from feeling her sometimes with the alien excuse hehe.
Symptoms: Aside from feeling like I hit a brick wall and I'm walking around like a pregnant zombie, I'm pretty good. I'm feeling thankful and fortunate.
Appointments/updates/AW: Next week is my next appointment. We just got the wall decals for the nursery. I THINK I might be possibly feeling a few kicks. It's only happened a couple times, though. I'm trying not getting wrapped up in the lack of movement, though.
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"?
Got called out in a meeting for looking like I was zoning out. Apparently my "resting bitch face" has turned into a vacant stare.

Symptoms: The back pain continues. I've got an appointment for a massage next week, YAY. Otherwise I seem to have caught a bug, BOO, but the doc says it's viral.
Appointments/updates/AW: I had a checkup on Monday, everything was great, my 1 hour GLT was normal so I can keep eating chocolate chip cookies with abandon. Also even though I am now huge, I didn't gain as much as I thought I'm still working on my registry and I'm very stressed about it.
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? Hmm, well, things that don't belong in the fridge end up in there somehow and I mishear people a lot lately.
Symptoms: back pain is back with a vengeance this week along with wonderful sciatic nerve issues. Feeling really heavy and full all of the time, even when I'm starving! TONS of movement...this boy is following the trend of his big brothers by trying to kick my ass (not literally...at least not all of the time) from the inside
Appointments/updates/AW: I have to go in and do my GD test sometime this week.
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? Is it my pregnancy brain that is making me completely unable to think of anything???
Symptoms: Occasional pelvic pain, I think mostly when baby turns to a funky position. So far not constant, thank goodness. Constant kicking. This girl... oh man, I think she's the most active of all my babes. I've been seeing her kicks move my belly for weeks now. All I want to eat is Thai food and Indian food, the spicier the better.
Appointments/updates/AW: My midwife had to cancel my appointment yesterday because she was called to a birth. Bummer, but oh well. We've been really healthy, so our "appointment" generally lasts about ten minutes, and we spend the next hour just chatting, haha.
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? Oh god. I don't have any funny stories, but I keep injuring myself. I reached for something through the steam coming out of my tea kettle, got a nice burn on my arm. I sliced off the tip of my finger with a mandolin slicer. Yesterday a mug slipped out of my hand and hit the edge of my counter, and the handle broke off and stabbed into my thumb. Uggggh. Also I'm trying to study Precalc, and I can't retain any freaking information in my head. I swear I used to be good at math.
EDD/Weeks: 27 weeks!!!! 11/1 due date altho doctor doesn't think I'll make it past 34-36 weeks due to IC.. So we could be looking at having a baby in 7-9 weeks(so September or October baby)!!!!! Eek!!!!
Symptoms: it's getting harder to sleep comfortably .. Even on my side & when I finally do get comfy I have to get up to pee.. It's a never ending cycle.
Appointments/updates/AW: we have an appt every 7-10 days so it's pretty routine... & also go in weekly for progesterone shots.
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? Nothing lately.. Prego brain luckily went away in 1St tri.. Which I'm so glad about cuz it was BAAADDDD y'all! Lol!
Appointments/updates/AW: just had a appt and doc says babies are fine and I feel great. My sugar was a little high tho and now I have to take that dreadful glucose test in 2 weeks. I'm trying to steer clear from sugar in hopes that I pass. I had gestational diabetes with DS in the last weeks and was told that twins put you at an even higher risk. So I pray all goes well
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? I left my car keys in the bathroom at work and then left my work keys in another bathroom on the same day lol
EDD/Weeks: 11/28 23 weeks Symptoms: Bad back pain but I've had it since week 9 so it's not new Appointments/updates/AW: After our a/s 2 weeks ago they weren't able to get the pictures they wanted of the baby's heart and face so we had to have another on yesterday (Friday) and it was still difficult to get what they wanted but they finally did. Everything looks good! Whew! We were a little worried. Glucose test at our next regular appointment in 2 weeks. GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? Other than thinking these threads were reminders to update your tracker (really felt dumb on that one)? Last weekend we celebrated my mother-in-law's 60th birthday and threw her a Wizard of Oz party (her favorite movie) where we watched the movie in honor of the 75th anniversary of the movie. I had such a stupid moment when I asked her if she remembered when the movie came out in theaters when she was 15! DOH! Not so great at math anyway, but not THAT dumb. *sigh*
EDD/Weeks: 40wk due date is 11/15 but dr won't let me past 11/1 if I'm lucky enough to get that far
Symptoms: back to extreme exhaustion. Gave my concert tickets away tonight so I could stay in bed lol. Back starting to hurt but I think because I'm in bed so much and can't breathe on my back my hips and shoulders hurt from being on my side.
Appointments/updates/AW: had a two hr anatomy scan on Wednesday was great to see them. They are measuring in the 90th percentile and 2+ lbs a piece. Then I freaking failed my 1hr glucose and now have to if the long one next Thursday UGH. Apparently super common with 2 placentas. The messed up thing is my dr did regular glucose draw last week and it was great! So confused!
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? Just super forgetful.
I was out of town at a wedding all weekend so just now checking in...
EDD/Weeks:October 31, 27 weeks Symptoms: Still having heartburn, still peeing all the time at night--that has actually gotten worse. Sometimes when I wake up I have to run to the bathroom so I don't pee myself. LO is sitting on top of my bladder I'm pretty sure. I've felt a significant uptick in movement- he's kicking mostly all the time. My back is killing me. We drove from NC to NY for this wedding and poor DH had to do most of the driving because my back couldn't handle it.
Appointments/updates/AW: Well, I passed my 1 hour glucose test, so that's a yay. I can continue eating donuts. My next appointment is a week from today. I have my baby shower on Saturday. Finished reading "Happiest Baby on the Block"--lots of good info there. I was a colicky baby so I want to be prepared in case this guy is too.
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"?Can't think of anything offhand! Just sleeping a lot.
Late to the party, I was gone over the weekend and work has been so crazy, I have not been bumping. I miss you ladies and I will be back!
EDD/Weeks: Oct 31, 27 weeks (3rd Tri!), Rutabaga
Symptoms: Baby moves a ton. He rolls around a lot, weird feeling! Tired at the end of the day. My back hurts when I drive long distances.
Appointments/updates/AW: Took my glucose test this morning, FX! Next appt on Tues 8/12.
GTKY- What is the funniest/ most embarrassing thing you've done lately as a result of "pregnancy brain"? I tried to put the bag of dried cat food in the freezer. I realized what I had done as I was closing the freezer door! @-)
