Crafty people come in

I ordered my son a bedding set for his new toddler bed. It came with a fitted sheet, but I already have one that is softer and better quality. The sheet set one is cute though and obviously matches the bedding. Could I use the material for something else cute for the room? I can handle basic sewing but not much beyond that.

    Line the backs of bookcases
    Make a floor pillow
    Cover a large basket along with coordinating fabric for toy/stuffed animal storage
    Modge podge it to a metal tray and attach to the wall for a magnetic board

    I don't have anything original to add, but I love all these ideas!

    I love the idea of a magnet board or the canvas wall art. I don't know if I'd want to use it for something on the bed, I think I'd do some artwork/other project to tie the room together.

    I thought I was crafty, then I read others ideas. Especially Darbies, it's brilliant!
    I was going to suggest a valence or even a pillow. The back of a bookcase is also brilliant.

    What about curtains or pillows?  Those are both easy to make.

    So many good ideas! I'm leaning towards the canvas. I like the idea of curtains too, but the material is actually a little thin, so I'm probably better off just buying curtains. Thanks all!
