Can't wait to feel this kid move!

I'm 14w4d.  How early do FTM's usually feel baby?  What should I be on the lookout for?

  • I'm 17w today and a FTM. I just started feeling baby in the last couple of days (I think? lol) Im always in the same position when I feel it, and typically its after I've been up and moving a bunch. I may have felt it a bit earlier. The feelings being when I'm in the same position though are what really clued me in it was likely baby. To me it feels like someone tapping very lightly with their fingertips, I can see how many others describe it as "fluttering"  feelings.

  • I'm a FTM, I felt the day I turned 16 weeks.  It was little flutters to me, like a butterfly.

  • I don't know the difference in baby movement and gas (sorry tmi). I am sad I am missing it... Maybe in another week I will know its the lil one moving around. I am ready for it to happen already!

  • I'm a FTM and started feeling baby around 15 weeks. For me it felt like fingers tapping me too. Now that I'm 18 wks her kicks are getting stronger everyday!
  • I thought I felt her one day about a week and a half ago, and maybe I did, but I haven't felt her since. I'm super excited to, though. I'm 17 weeks 3 days today.
  • I have a lot of gas so I won't be able to determine if it's a baby movement or not until the baby is bigger.

  • I am fluffy, and I think that might make it harder. I am 14w3d and looking, but not yet. My coworkers wife is 2 weeks ahead of me, she feels hers all the time, but is not FTM....

I am so looking forward to it. Another coworker is due in Sept, and she pulled up her shirt, we could see baby's foot kicking out all around her belly, it was amazing! Again, I doubt I will get to see that on me... fluffy /:)

  • I'm 17w today and still waiting to feel something!
  • With ds1 I felt it very early and am feeling the same now. To me, it felt like a fish.

  • FTM here. I started feeling the flutters around 15w. They're like tiny little tickles from the inside. I first noticed them when I was laying on the couch at night. They get a tiny bit stronger and more frequent every day.

  • I'm 16 weeks today and nothing so far... nothing that I know is the baby anyway. but I'm "fluffy" too (I'm going to use that from now on...). I can't wait too.
  • I'm a STM- first baby I felt movement (not just flutters) around 20 wks. I'm in my 17th week now and just have been feeling what's like little finger taps inside. At my appointment Thursday the doc did quick ultrasound cause he couldn't locate the baby on Doppler- he was looking too low- baby was just under my belly button and that's exactly where I've been feeling the tapping. Makes it way more real once you feel them- and know it's them and not gas :)

  • FTM here. I wasn't quite sure what I was feeling was baby until right around 17w. Now it's quite obvious! It feels like a finger poking me from the inside.

  • I can't wait. I think with my first it was about 17 weeks!
  • Anxiously awaiting to feel the first kicks... At 15w today. At my NT scan the Dr. told me it may take longer for me because the placenta is in front of the baby, acting as a cushion. I think this is called anterior placenta. When I look up information on it, some women who also have this do not feel the baby until 24w! I hope it doesn't take this long!

  • 14 weeks 3 days stm and I think I felt the baby in bed this morning, two rolling sensations followed by two fish bumps...I'll wait a day or two before I say for certain as I've felt baby kicks when not pregnant so clearly you can have that sensation, but since it was 4 in a row I'm thinking kung fu baby!
