Carseat in a truck

My husband drive a truck w a back seat. We have never put the car seat in bc we always take my Pilot everywhere we go. We tried it out today and it doesn't fit in the backseat. The seat is too short. It fit up front and we turned the airbags off, but it makes me nervous. DS starts going to the babysitter this week and my husband will have to drop him off in the mornings. I know it is legal, but it still makes me nervous. Anyone else have a truck?

We have a truck and it's non-issue for us. I believe it is okay for the seat to hang off the edge a tiny bit. At least I've seen other ladies post that on here but I suggest you check your manual since that may vary from seat to seat and the vehicle itself.

As long as the airbag is turned off, RF in the front seat shouldn't be a problem if it absolutely won't fit in the back.

We have a truck too and the carseat hangs off a bit but it moves less than it does in our other car. So I dont worry too much, and she rarely rides in the truck anyway.

We don't have a truck, but my DH does have a really small hatchback, and it doesn't fit in the backseat with DD's car seat. DH put it in the front (there are no airbags). I don't think the kiddos are that safe in such a small car to begin with, so if DH is driving with the kids he'll take my Subaru or his suburban.
