getting irritated with the pregnancy not so great side effects.

So I have been dealing with my hair shedding, some bruises appearing on my legs(looks like varicose veins trying to form), constant morning sickness when I first wake up( you know, the nasty stomach acid kind) and reflux real bad. I was battling with swollen gums but that finally went away.

I am ready to treat myself to a day of pampering such as a manI/pedi and a haircut so I can feel better about myself during these not so great horomone changes/ side effects (whatever you want to call it). Anyone else battling with any of this or other changes they are not fond of?

Re: getting irritated with the pregnancy not so great side effects.

  • You aren't alone! I'm 16w3d and still get sick.. Liars told me it was gonna end around 13w.. Doctor put me on medicine (diclegis) which seems to help. I'm all the time moody. My fiancé and have lost "spark". I'm hungry all the time and the foods I crave make me sick. Pregnancy is supposed to be an amazing experience. I could see that, but as of right now I'm not having an "amazing" experience. I know it'll all be worth it in the end but I kinda want to hit fast forward and be about 8months.

I hope things get better for you though. I'm defiantly not bitter towards others. And I pray that things will get easier for you. *hugs*

  • Bleeding gums, heartburn, constant headaches/migraines, lots of pelvic pressure, worst allergies of my life and on top of all of that I have a bladder disease which pregnancy is making SO MUCH worse that I practically pee myself now if I laugh, cough or sneeze.  Oh the joys!

  • I have all of the above mentioned symptoms as well. The lack of sleeping and the headaches are my biggest complaint right now by far. This morning I tried what someone suggested about putting an ice pack on the back of your neck. It worked!! TRY IT! Helped a lot.
  • Yeah, this pregnancy has been kicking my ass compared to my pg with my son.

This time around I've dealt with (nausea/vomiting thats finally gone but was 10 times worse than my last pg), flare ups of eczema, yeast infection(which I never get normally), awful breakouts on my face and chest (also not the norm for me), and backache (already! I'm only 16 weeks).

All worth it in the end, but man...exhausting. its been enough to convince me that were def 2 & through here!

  • This is a pretty rough one for me. Bleeding continuously, abdominal cramps, nausea, fatigue, acne and flakey skin. It's all worth it in the end for sure, I'm 16 weeks with twins
  • I try to keep a smile on my face and not complain but would definitely love for some of this to ease up. I have two boys (ages 9 &7) from a previous marriage and the worse I've felt with them was morning sickness all day until after giving birth but #3 has definitely topped them with the other symptoms I mentioned above. I know it is going to be well worth it though. <3
  • Forgot to mention, my allergies are fucking insane. This kid is damn near trying to kill me, I think!

  • I'm 16weeks and 4 days and my hair sucks!along with my nail! and my back hurts and I get these weird hicup things that bring stomach acids!!!it is way past time for me to get my hair cute and such! And everytime I move fast the baby tends to move and shift and kick me to no end!
  • Me too. I'm finally in 2nd trimester and hoping it gets better but I am so exhausted, nauseas on and off with no appetite, and have a SCH so every time I pee I worry what I'll see on TP (sorry TMI). I tell myself it'll pass soon and all be worth it in end. Hope same for u!!!
