Mysterious Red Bump

Hello ladies,

LO woke up this morning with a strange red bump on his arm. It doesn't really look like a big bite, and it doesn't seem like it bothers him. It almost looks like a burn, which is why I thought it was weird, as he definitely hasn't been burned. I'm waiting on a callback from his pediatrician. In the meantime, have any of you seen anything like this?

Looks like a dry patch. Or maybe he sucked on it during sleep?

I also think it may be dry skin. Try baby Aquaphor! I use that on LO 4 or 5 times a day when her eczema flares up.

Thanks for your replies ladies! I forgot he does tend to suck on things, including his arms, when he sleeps. And he does get dry skin sometimes too, so maybe that's it.

My LO sometimes wakes up with red marks on her because she likes to stick her limbs through the bars of her crib and/or smoosh herself against the bars. Usually they fade pretty quickly and don't have bumps though. I agree that sucking sounds like a good theory.
