So after waiting 52 days for AF after my m/c, I am now on CD 22. I thought I O'd on Monday, but now I have EWCM again. I don't chart so I can't confirm O and my cycles have always been long, but given that this is our first month TTC after our m/c, this is driving me crazy. To add insult to injury, I have a 16 day LP, so I try not to test until 17 days post O (or when I think O is!).
I think the worst thing isn't that every cycle is a total mystery, but that each cycle recently has lasted something like six weeks so every cycle I don't get PG takes forever! I so envy women who at least get to try every month! Being 37 I just feel time slipping away...
Re: Long irregular cycle vent
I'm going through the same thing and are so frustrated! It took 47 days for AF to come back after the m/c and I'm now on day 34 Im usually every 28 days I hate this!!! I O'ed so late (at least I think I did). Im really ready for a bfp or at least a regular cycle!!!
Have you been diagnosed with something? Like PCOS?
I'm 30, but felt the same way with time slipping by. After my 1st m/c I mentioned my annoying long cycles and she was pretty quick to give me Clomid. I did 3 cycles. They went from 50 ish days to 35, 33 and what would have been 32 if I hadn't gotten a BFP (then miscarried).
I am now at an RE who has officially diagnosed me with a hybrid version of PCOS...not totally typical PCOS, but enough to confirm a hybrid.
I don't know, but maybe see what your doctor recommends! GL
Thanks for all your responses. It's nice to know I'm not alone.
I haven't been diagnosed with anything, and in fact have twice gotten PG on cycle #2 of trying, which doesn't mean there isn't something to diagnose, but does give me hope that there isn't something wrong. If it does keep up, I will definitely talk to the doctor about it (Of course I am switching doctors after my m/c, and haven't actually found someone new. - my other current frustration.)
I do think about charting and I know it would give me more information. I am afraid it will make me more obsessive, not less. Also, my sleep cycles are always messed up since we have a 19-month-old who is still waking up in the night. But it might be worth a shot.
Good luck to all of you who share in this problem.
