WTF Fridays....

Alright, so MH and I are sitting here waiting for our IUI. Call me bitter or just a bitch but they should ban kids from the waiting room area. At my Dr's office, we infertile people have our own area. Having kids back here is just an added kick in the fucking nuts.

Ughh....rant over!

DH: 30 SA-Low motility
Married: July 27, 2007   NTNP: 2008-2013   Actively TTC: Since October 2013
IUI #1: 10mg letrozole (3-7), trigger shot (5/31/14), procedure 6/2/2014 SA - 5mill post-wash  BFN

    I'm sorry! I had a similar situation last week. I mostly just kept my head down and stayed on my phone. Good luck with the IUI!

    IUI #3 on 8/22/2014 100 mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI (53 million sperm, 2 dominant follies)= BFP MMC @ 7weeks

    It's not like I don't like being around children because I do and most of the time I don't feel that way. But for some reason today, it just rubbed me the wrong way. I mean the kid was screaming because he wanted to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. AND his mother didn't look much older than 23.

    Thank you everyone for the well wishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The IUI went well. MH analysis came back NORMAL at a 28 million count. That is great improvement from 5 million two months ago. The Dr. was a little off his game today with the "torture device" as he called it.

    I've been so emotional this week and I really do hope this try works. I'm already dreading this 2WW.

    @BlueJoan‌ Sorry about the nurse! I had one when I called on the phone who was really bitchy too once. She said we "weren't allowed" to start treatment until we had genetic testing done!? We were not told that during our consult. When I questioned her on it she put me on hold and then came back and "allowed" me to schedule things. I could see if we were doing ivf but we are just starting out so I didn't want to start with testing right away. Since then I have one nurse I love and hope to schedule all my appointments with her!

    @catlover790 Yes, the torture device is the speculum. It took him 5 attempts to get it positioned well today. However, he did make up for the repeated attempts by letting MH do the "plunging of the swimmers". I love our Dr.!

    @BlueJoan‌ I had a little bit of that too! We weren't being given the same info and what I wanted wasn't being listened to. One said I should start with IUI, another menopur etc. When I said I wanted to try just TI and femara (the RE said this was okay) and start small they weren't very enthused, until I found this one nurse. She is really nice and I hope I can keep seeing her.

    I'm sorry it is frustrating for you! I'm type A about this too and bring in written questions in my folder when I go too! :)

    And, not the same, but I was on a flight yesterday, and the toddler sitting behind me kept crying and kicking my chair while his mother did nothing about it. It felt like an almost literal kick in the gut re: dealing with IF.

    Oh that does sound painful! I asked because at my HSG it hurt a little when they were getting it positioned and it was a metal one. For paps at my OBs they always used a plastic one and it never hurt at all. Glad your doctor made up for it with your DH!!

    What a jerk, @BlueJoan. The nurses at my RE are nice, but the receptionist is less than stellar. I called yesterday to ask if I still had to do a beta since I got a bfn 13dpo, and she just said "No. Just call us on your first day." Seriously, no "I'm sorry" or even a little sympathetic sound.

    Married 2010, together since 2006. TTC for #1 since March 2012, actively charting since November 2013
    March 2014 - HSG left tube blocked, right tube partially blocked bilaterial partial obstruction; onward to the RE in April
    May 1, 2014 - Lap surgery and chromopertubation; Dr removed a bit of endo, but everything looks healthy & tubes are clear!
    May 2014- First medicated cycle, 2.5mg femara+TI; BFN
    June 2014- 2.5mg femara + hCG + IUI     on 6/18= BFP on 6/28!; C/P on 7/3
    July 2014- 2.5mg femara + IUI #2 on 7/18. Starting progesterone 7/23, bfn
    August 2014- 2.5mg femara + hCG + IUI # 3 on 8/15. BFN
    Tx break
    IVF #1 -
    12/1 - TOT & SIS- RE found a polyp
    12/15 - Hysterscopic surgery to remove the polyp; additional polyps found and removed
    12/29- Good baseline u/s, 12 antral follies
    12/30- Started stimming
    1/10 - ER: 17 retrieved, 14 fertilized!
      My Ovulation Chart - No data,  just meds
