Motherhood Maternity = crap

I'm so pissed!!! I've had these jean shorts from motherhood maternity for a couple months and there's a rip right over my butt. Call my crazy, but unless there was a knife taken to these things, that really should not have happened. I only have 3 pairs of maternity shorts and the others are more "formal" (if shorts can be considered formal lol). It's not like they were cheap either! Vent over lol.

agreed! I've never ripped any jeans/shorts (except for the times when i gained weight and tried to fit into ones the no longer fit teheh)

It's worth swinging by the store if it's convenient... If you are part of their membership program they keep track of all your receipts for you, and I'd call that a defective item... Totally returnable even if it's past the return window!

I've never ripped any jean shorts my whole life! I would be so mad especially cuz they are not cheap. I would try to return them if it hasn't passed the return period.

I got a pair of jean shorts from zulily and they are great and only about $10, check them out.

I would also try to return them. I had a pair of capris rip after I wore them twice from a different maternity clothing store. They replaced them without batting an eye and told me even if they ripped 2 or 3 months from now to bring them back.

Their quality sucks!! And I've only bought stuff on the redline, so I'm not THAT upset about it...but it's the principle of the matter. I've gotten a few blouses and a few dresses. Several of them have the loops on the side, in the chest area, for a skinny belt to go thru. The loops have broken on EVERY SINGLE ITEM. Outrageous.

See if you can return it. I have jeans that I still wear from my first pregnancy in 2011 - they've held up well. Sounds like you had a defective item.

^completely agree! My local MM (motherhood maternity) is horrible. They don't carry many XL or plus size items and they don't have many petite either ! It's like you have to be one of those lucky bitches (and I say that with love because I'm jealous how adorbale they look) who are skinny and tall and have a perfect bump were I'm short and curvy. They are over prices for what quality your getting and the sales reps.... ugh! We have and lady who seriously scary to the point I feel I need mace or she might stalk me out and baby nap my kid. No joke serious creeper. She forces the highest priced item on you when I state I'm on a budget and know what I need. Like their skinny jeans that are $30 are comfy and seem to last a few months so there's a plus but she tried to force $60 jessica Simpson jeans on me.... no offense but if the woman doesn't know chicken of the sea is tuna or chicken I highly doubt she knows how to make a quality product. Just say in. But regardless I feel the painnnnnnnn

Jeans are the only thing I buy from Motherhood. I was actually excited to bust out the prego jeans today for the first time. I bought mine back in Fall 2013 and they're still going strong. I would complain to the store. Can't hurt
