My FFC is that I swaddle my child not for comfort but so she stops punching me and shoving her hands in her mouth during feeding time.
She hates being swaddled, so she usually shits right away

I put off writing shower thank you notes hoping to get them done during my month leave from work prior to baby coming. She came a month early and I still haven't done about 50% of them. I suck.

DD slept from 11 - 4 & then 4 - 9. It was the most amazing sleep night ever!

FFFC:

I made brownies & didn't give DS a chance to lick the spatula of brownie goodness out of the mixing bowl. I did. Every. Single. Drop. I practically hid it from him too so he wouldn't ask. I'm clearly a monster.

@abundancenow I just finished mine yesterday! Now it will probably take me another 2 weeks to address them and actually send them out.

@Skeemer I am so jealous about your sleep...

My FFFC - I use a white noise machine not to help LO sleep, but so I can sleep. She is such a loud sleeper, the white noise blocks out all her snorts and grunts. I sometimes will pretend I'm sleeping so DH will get up and soothe her when she is cranky.

I was excited. I thought I ordered a rock & play to be delivered yesterday bc he won't sleep flat in his back. Yeah, I never actually finished the order.

I am the same with thank yous. I have 14 or so to go from the shower, and then I start the randoms from the mail and stuff he got when he was born. If I could put him down Id write them (and also if hubs could be bothered to help around the house... but thats a story for Monday)

My FFFC - we went grocery shopping and DH pushed the cart with the food and I pushed the cart with the carseat. Occasionally Id throw something small in my cart and I thought I got it all at the register. When we took the carseat out though, a lonely can of chickpeas rolled out. And no, I didnt go back in and pay.

DH and I have a wedding to go to tomorrow. It's. 3 miles from home and my brother and sister in law offered to watch DD. They are expecting #2 in sept and my nephew is 20m do I think they are looking forward to the practice.

I am using DD's gas issues and fussiness as an excuse to possibly not go. I'm not really ready to leave her yet, she's only 3w!!

I'm incredibly selfish when it comes to food. I'm ashamed of it but at the same time, I have no regrets. I'm that wife who will make a cobbler and hide half the cobbler in the back of the fridge so no one else gets it. All while still eating some of the cobbler that hasn't been hidden. I'm also dreading the day that my kids actually take an interest in what I'm eating. Because, then I'm really going to have to share.

DS the past two days has wanted to nurse constantly. I'm really getting annoyed with him, and feel horrible for feeling that way.

Also midwife said I can start swimming as soon as I stop bleeding, I'm tempted to start swimming again next week even though I'm still bleeding. I probably won't, but I really want to. I miss that bonding time with DD, she's been really cranky and sleeping horribly since DS was born. I'm sure it's because of adjusting to DS but I'm convinced it's also because we don't have swim time anymore.

My 8 day overdue body did not feel like bending over to pick up those 2 potatoes I dropped on the floor last night. I would have left them there for my Corgi to play with until DH came home, but they were ones from my garden, so there was a lot of pregnant work behind them. I tricked my dog into picking them up and bringing them to me like I was going to throw them back to her. I also cooked them for dinner and didn't tell hubs they had been in the dogs mouth.

My in-laws came over to visit with DD yesterday. She cried the entire time, so after 15 minutes they decided to leave because they felt bad. I kept telling them they could stay longer, that they didn't have to go because she was crying, but secretly I was high fiving DD for cutting their visit so short.

I heard DD poop around 4am this morning, I decided to give her a minute in case she had to go some more. I fell back asleep and she didn't wake up again until 6am. Mother of the Year right here!

Ditto. I took a pair home with me and even though I looked like an old grandpa with my huge paid bulge and belly awkwardness I didn't care. It was glorious comfort.

My nieces have been here all week and I'm glad they leave today. They don't behave and that makes DD1 not behave. The 3 together are loud and obnoxious and my confession is I've wanted them gone since Tuesday and don't even care how bad that makes me sound.

Also my OH should be helping me, not playing videogames (<-background) so I've hidden the game (<-confession).

I loved those mesh undies. They sent me home with four pairs. It was awesome.

I brought home a dozen pair and will wear them until they fall apart or my rhoids shrink - whichever comes first.

My mom came over tonight to watch DD while I packed all our bags for vacation on Sunday. I didn't tell DH she was coming over so he wouldn't yell at me for the house not being 100% clean and organized.

I was so happy to have 3 uninterrupted hours to get completely organized for this trip, I could have cried!

Whenever my DH mentions the fact that the house is messy I point out that:

1. He was the one that made me get rid of our house cleaner last year because he swore up and down that he would help me clean to save money
2. I remind him that he has arms, and that the cabinet with the cleaners is over the fridge, and to get moving.
3. That if he refuses to lift a finger, he can also STFU.

I ate DHs little cheesecake he had frozen and convinced him he must have eaten it... It was great. BUT I forgot that I wasn't doing dairy to help the baby and she was CRANKY!!! :-S
