Developmental Milestones?

So I was curious, how do I know what Max & Sadie *should* be doing for their age? I see lots of people saying that their babies are behind in gross motor skills, but how do you know what those are?

I'm going to call EI tomorrow based on our pedi's recommendation as well since we just moved to another state. Maybe they'll give me some insight.

    We could tell by books like What to Expect the 1st Year and others like it.  They have sections by age that tell what the babies should do.  It was obvious that C was behind in the motor sections.  Also, our EI does regular evaluations to check her progress and her motor skills were behind her adjusted age milestones (language and social have always been right on target).

    Don't type it out yet! I'm calling about EI tomorrow, so I'll see if they have something for us. I honestly don't have any developmental books at home, is that horrible? I'll let you know :D

    check out babycenter.com... their site will tell you about milestones and you can sign up for emails :)

    I have info on my blog if you want to check it out.  It at least goes to 9 months specifically and I'll be adding more in the near future.

    HI, I hope you get approved for the EI.  Sophie is able to stay in the system until she is 3 years old!  I already see an improvement in her head movements and when you try to sit her up as well as holding her head up properly when on her tummy.
