HELP INDUCE ME? PgAl Brain is BACK! :(

So i am now 2 days over due and i cannot stop worrying that something is going to go wrong! PgAl brain is back

( I know the baby will come when its ready .. but theres no harm in trying to start my labour off naturally as I'm not too keen on being induced (8th August) if nothing has happened before then. I guess I'm a little disappointed the membrane sweep didn't work? i have another one this coming tuesday. I have lost a little bit more of my plug.. and all my aches and pains have stopped. My worst fear is being induced and it not working, then having to have a c-section! Raspberry leaf tea, love making (ahem) , pineapple, bouncing up and down , walking and walking, pressure points/ acupuncture the lot! This bubba is well and truly snug. I have even just had a warm-ish bath!! I'm not even a bath person (i lasted 8 minutes) ha ha. Jus wanting a moan i guess! Sorry for going on!

I'm no real help here, but maybe you could try some of the other 'old wives tales' as well? Spicy food, and some nipple stimulation (hehe)? Anectodal, but my aunt swears by a tsp of castor oil- she has had 6 kids. From what I've read, it can cause some unpleasant side effects (namely the runs) so YMMV.

@kz's_girlygirl yea, i forgot to mention i have tried nip stimulation.. but it, annoys me?? lol and also spicy food, i can eat forever and nothing happens also

( i haven't tried castor oil coz i don't wanna go into labour and be in a messy situation lol thank you though x and anectodol??? let me google that... first time i heard of that... off to google

Anecdotal isn't a remedy! It just means that the rec. is based on what I've heard, not necessarily true- that my aunt swears by it, but who knows!
(Sorry for the confusion bc my fat fingers can't spell lol)

**PAL LURKING**

Everyone kept telling me to walk and walk.... I even walked in the middle of the night! When I told my midwife, she told me that if walking doesn't do it then I need to REST! Some people respond to the walking but if not, I needed to rest. So I did and my cx definitely picked up! Now, I was induced the following morning (successfully with no Epi) so I don't really know if it worked but it's worth a shot!! Good luck Hun and I can't wait to "meet" your LO!!!

i don't have any other advice, but the baby can be snug as a bug one moment and labor can start out of nowhere the next. hang in there hon.

Sounds like LO is just too cozy. I like the advice to try to rest. Since you've tried everything else I think a good couch potato day and any distractions you can think of would be awesome. If you can swing it, maybe schedule a massage? Maybe Murphy's law will kick in and baby will come just in time for you to not get the prenatal massage. Good luck!!

I tried everything with my first one too and I mean everything EXCEPT Castor oil!! And of course nothing worked! I was overdue by 5 days and I went in to the Doc and they said they would induce me that night.. I was barely dilated at that point. I think that is all I needed to hear was that there was going to be an end. As soon as we left the hospital I went into full fledged LABOR!~ Then had my baby without induction the next morning!

Maybe tell yourself that you are ok with being induced and get excited about it, then you will go into Labor because you will be relaxed!
