Rite-Aid or Walgreens?

So this is just a lame question; but does anyone shop at either Rite-Aid or Walgreens frequently, and do you have a preference?  Because of insurance changes I need to change all of our prescriptions to either one, both are even in terms of location/hours/drive through.  I've never really shopped in pharmacies for anything besides meds though; does either have like, great deals on makeup or anything?   (:|

    Our pharmacy of choice is Walgreens- it seems that there is a Walgreens on every block here.  i like their app/online for drug refills.

    I usually shop at Rite-Aid vs. Walgreens, though I do get pictures printed there. For instance, RA has Tide for $4.94 right now and there is a $2 coupon, so I'm going tomorrow to get some cheap Tide. I think they're both extremely overpriced stores, but I find RA has better specials on items I use.

    Walgreens. It is closer to my house and has a drive-thru and our Rite Aid does not.

    Oooh I had no idea that apps existed for this! That may sway me...I'll have to see if RA has one.

    Rite aid. At mine the pharmacists/techs are super nice. The closest to me at rite aid or walmart...and I'd rather cut a limb off than pick prescriptions up at Walmart. They are so slow and there's always a line.

    We're in the process of moving all of our prescriptions away from Walgreens because the one we were using has incompetent people working for them. Every single month they tried to charge me double for my meds, I would correct it, they would fix it and put a note in the computer "so it doesn't happen again" and it would happen the next month. Then they would see the note in the computer, apologize and do it again the next month. Not sure if the issue was store specific, but it happened no matter what pharm tech was working. It made me happy my monthly prescription was just an inhaler and all they do is hand me the box because I wouldn't trust them for a moment if they were doling out pills (would they give me the right one) or if I had multiple meds from multiple docs and needed to be sure there were no potential interactions.

    Around here, Rite Aid has a Thrifty ice cream counter, so that gets my vote over Walgreens.

    Both stink where we live.  Try a locally owned store.  Usually the prices on insurance are the same or very close.  If you don't have insurance (my child needed a cough syrup that wasn't covered), they may even be cheaper.  Our locally owned store is fantastic.  Customer service is outstanding!  They don't have apps, but a real person answers the phone.  It was worth a switch after we got fed up with several other stores.
