Baby Hair

My hair is a disaster zone. It is still falling out and I have all of these little hairs that are baby fine sticking up all over. I have 2 inch long "bangs" in the front. I look like I'm trying for an Audrey Hepburn look, poorly. People keep asking if I cut my bangs like that "on purpose". My hair has always been coarse and curly now it's soft and flat. My stylist did a great job layering and working longer hair into my bangs. She admitted that I had a bald spot! (At my temple by my bangs) before but new growth now. YIKES! So how is everybody else's hair after LO?

Re: Baby Hair

  • Mine has finally calmed down, but I'm amazed I have any hair left with all that i was losing on a daily basis for a while. Between my hair and the dog and cat, our vacuum was really getting a workout.

yep my hair did the exact same thing after each baby.....4 months- it fell out and then around 8 months it started growing back in.  I too have the two inch long hairs all over my head it is so not cool.  BUT the end is in sight....soon those hairs will grow in and blend but it takes for freakin ever!!

  • Mine started majorly shedding about a month ago. So disgusting I have to vacuum all the time! I always find pieces in LO's hands.

  • Thanks ladies! This makes me feel better. I was starting to wonder if I needed to have my thyroid checked. @Legitsince86‌ yeah, I had most of mine cut off too. It looks better but I miss my ponytail.
  • I definitely lost some hair post partum and I think I finally have stopped shedding. My hair has changed a bit for sure. I've always had wavy, frizzy hair but tame it with a straightener. Post partum I've noticed a few extra waves that are like crimped on the back of my head that I can not get to go away no matter what I do. I've also got the whispy hair around my ears and it looks ridiculous when my hair is in a ponytail because it will stick straight out from my ears. I usually have to put hairspray on it to get it to "behave" for a short while.

I've always had thick, full, and straight hair. My hair is always texturized, layered, and thinned out when I cut it. My hair is still shedding. No bald spots. I still need to get my hair thinned out. It's still full, thick, and straight.
