I have two bedrooms to choose between for the nursery and I am torn and would love some input.
Bedroom 1:
Smaller, but has two large windows overlooking the street and gardens across the street.
There is only one wall I can put the crib on and with this setup, I will walk in and the crib will be immediately to the left.
There is room for a small changing table, the crib, and a chair, but no ottoman.
This room is very well lit and feels "happy" when I walk in (because of the windows and the light I think).
The chair would have a nice view of the gardens across the street.
Bedroom 2:
Larger than bedroom one.
Its an interior room and therefor only has one teeny tiny window off in the corner and the room is dark and gloomy.
Will have a shared wall with the master suite.
Big enough for the crib, a wide dresser/changing table, a bookcase, and a chair and ottoman. The closet is also a bit larger.
The crib can go in a few places, but the best place is directly across from the door and it feels less awkward getting to the crib in this room than room #1.
Overall, it makes more sense for the layout to go with room #2 but I HATE the way the room feels when I walk in. I'm an interior designer so I know there are things I can do to fix this, but at the end of the day, its still only going to have one window and the room just has bad energy to me so I keep leaning towards room #1, but the crib is in an awkward spot in that room and its smaller.
Also, it has been pointed out to me that a darker room may be better for baby. I'm totally stuck. Feedback? Suggestions???

I think I'm the odd man out here as well. I think I'd go with room 2. The paint, bedroom theme, and how you decorate it can make it a beautiful, happy place to be. You don't NEED tons of light for it to be a happy place IMO.
In fact, we're in a similar boat. DD has the second largest bedroom. The other two bedrooms are the same size. Room 1 has a lot more light (not as great as it sounds with a 5am summer sunrise!!!!), but the placement of the windows, closet, and bedroom door would make the setup of the nursery really awkward. The closet in this room is great. Room 2 has less natural light (smaller window, near the corner) and is quieter since it's off the street. The closet is just as big as Room 1, though we need to install a closet organizer. The setup is perfect for a nursery. I don't LOVE Room 2 now as is, but after it's painted and has all the furniture, I think it will be perfect.

We're having our second and the transition for DD to the other room is becoming quite an ordeal, I should've just started with her in the bigger room!
