My Shoe Dilemma: To Buy or Not to Buy Clicky Poll

Even though this last LO was my third, there are whole new experiences going on here. Not only did I find some of my shoes no longer fit during pregnancy but others no longer fit now. My biggest dilemma is my beloved running shoes. I made a big investment in those just last spring and after 2 miles of walking on 3 different occasions, they still hurt my feet. I'll add that I am 10 weeks PP too.

I want to poll my fellow BMB mama's to see if I should just get another pair, tough it out or wait a little while longer. (side note - if it's get a new pair, this will be my proof to show Hubs)

  • If you're going to use them to workout, you really need shoes that fit properly. It's a safety thing!
This.  You could injure yourself by not wearing properly fitting shoes and then it will be more expensive and painful in the long run!

I was literally in the same situation last week. I bought a new pair of sneakers. I know I should probably wait, but getting back into shape right now is the best thing I can do for myself, physically and mentally, so it's worth the little extra cash.  I was in pain in my regular stuff, too.  Go for it!

  • I'm not a big shopper but I still voted to go shop because having good foot support is so, so important, both in running and every day crap.

  • Did they hurt before, or just after? If it was both, perhaps trying new sole support might help.

If it's just after, then I think it's time to buy some new ones. I used some for a long time that hurt my feet and I thought it was normal until I did a run analysis and actually got fitted and it made a huge difference, so I don't think I could deal with ill fittng shoes again.
  • How is this a question?! ;) Go shopping!

  • Thanks ladies! I'll be shoe shopping soon! Especially since I have a 5k next weekend. Even though we'll be walking since we're taking LO, can't be having sore feet! My mom will happily now inherit my year old Brooks that only have about 6 months wear and tear on them ;)
