Tattoos anyone?

Hello there,

I am just curious if anyone knows the risk of getting a tattoo while BF or if anyone has gotten a tattoo while BF..

My guy is very reputable and always uses new sterile needles, I just don't know if there is a risk involved. Any advice would be appreciated!

I of course can wait if there will be a problem, but if there isn't a risk then I will be getting my next one on Saturday!

should be fine if you're at a reputable place:

There is no evidence that getting a tattoo will affect breastfeeding. There should be no harm to mom or baby from the dyes injected. If you get a tattoo, the biggest concern for anyone (not just nursing moms) is infection (hepatitis or HIV)– so make sure the place you go has good references and is clean.

I got a tattoo in December while breastfeeding. Ty was 5 months at the time. He is 1 year now and still breastfeeding.
